    "Well," Robin began leading the way, offering an arm for support, "our parents were good friends, from childhood and all that our fathers made a pact that whoever was born first would be Hawk, whoever was second would be Robin.  They were fans of birds you see," he explained.  "As I was saying Hawk was born a few days before me and we learned everything, he can nearly shoot an arrow as well as I can." He finished on a wink.    "That's not a long story at all!" Rane objected.    "I did have to get you to come with me," he explained calmly.  Rane huffed but answered when he asked how she and Hawk had met, that story actually did carry them to the small camp where they stopped to rest.                                                                          "I cannot stay here, Hawk will not be happy to see me," Rane fretted aloud.    "Do not worry, I'll talk to him for you, in fact here he comes now, hide."  Rane slid behind a tree wondering what Robin had in his head.  "Hawk! There you are! How are things?"    "Not wonderful Robin I can tell you that."    "Why not?"    "I sent her away."    "Who?" Robin questioned, pure innocence.    "Rane, God, what was I thinking? I can see her in his arms! I can hardly bear it!" Hawk groaned.    "Well, you always were a few arrows short of a quiver," Robin teased.  Hawk growled in response.  "Well if she were here right now, what would you do?"    "Take her home where she belongs."  Rane could bear it no longer and jumped into Hawk's stunned arms.    "Ok, take me home!" she ordered.
