“Will You Marry Me?”

That morning when I woke up, I rolled over expecting Kevin to be there but he wasn’t. I heard the shower running, so I wasn’t too disappointed. I put a big shirt and some underwear on.

I walked in the bathroom.

“Good morning beautiful.” I heard him say.

“Hey you.” I started to brush my teeth. I looked in the mirror and something sparkling caught my eye. I looked down at my ring finger and there was an engagement ring there. I spit and looked at it once more.

I screamed. “Kevin!”

His deep laugh filled the bathroom. He turned off the shower and put a robe on.He walked to where I was standing and got down on one knee.

“Lisa Channelle Cummings. Will you marry me?”

I looked down at him. “Yes! Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes!”

He laughed and got up and kissed me.

“I love you. With all my heart.” He whispered.

 My End.

It was Friday. Yesterday to be exact. Kevin came in the house happy as ever.

“Hey babe.”

“Hey honey. How was your day?”

“It was okay. I really missed my baby girl though. Oh and I gata deal tonight.”

“Awe, I missed you too babe. Don’t forget to be home for dinner.”

He laughed. “Of course my love.” 

He left that night, and never came back.

He left and couldn’t come back. 

He had gotten shot by an undercover cop.

Now.         

 I sat there and looked at Josh the police officer listing so intently to my story.         

Tears were now falling.

“It was one of you who shot him. One of you who took him way from me!” I practically screamed. Getting up, I pointed the gun at him.         

“Hey, now be careful with that.”

“Don’t talk to me like that! You do not know me.”

“Hey, I just want to help.”

I sighed and looked at the floor. “Just leave. Please. Go.”         

“I can’t just leave you with that gun in your hand.”         

“The hell you can’t.” I glared at him. “Leave now!” I pointed the gun at him and shot once, missing. “Next time, I won’t miss.”         

He backed up heading for the door. “I’ll be back.” He stated firmly.         

I rolled my eyes. “Sure, Sure.”         

As he walked out and I cried some more. I just told a total stranger my life’s story. Great, now he can go write a book about it or something.         

I missed Kevin. Hey, don’t get me wrong, we fought sometimes. It wasn’t all peaches and cream. But all in all it was the best relationship I ever had. I wanted to be with him. I wanted it just all to end. The sirens out side and what felt like my heart literally breaking in my chest.         

I put the gun up to my right temple once again and thought to my self,         

I could you know. I could just end it all. End it all right now. Just end it all. Just-
