“Hey, I know I know your taking a shower, don’t worry I cant see you.” Gabriel started to explain his coming in.

“You’re lucky I’m used to Johnny. O so lucky or I would be very freaked out. Now what?”

“I jus wanted to talk to you while you were in the shower. This way you can’t run away from me.”

“We could do that over the phone!”

“No, you could hang up the phone.”

“True true. So tell me, what is it you need to talk about?”

“You. Me. Maybe us.”

Chyrstal sighed.

“See this is why, you can’t run away.”

“Gabriel, I already promised today that you could try and prove to me that you are just perfect for me. What more do you want?”

“I want more. Today is not enough and neither is tomorrow. Give me this week. This one week please. Stay here with me for a week. You can have the guest bedroom next to this and I swear I’ll stay in my room at night.”

There was silence in the bathroom, all except the water running of course.

Chyrstal sighed and shook her head. “Persistence is defiantly one of your stronger traits.” She paused. “Okay fine. I guess the week won’t hurt.”

Yes. Thought Gabriel to himself. “Okay. Now ill leave you alone to finish showering. Oh by the way, your clothes might take a while, so I brought you a robe.”

“Thanks.” She heard the door close and sighed deeply. She started to sing to herself to calm down.

You’ve got to tell him. It keeps getting worse and he has a rite to know.

She finished washing up and then grabbed the towel off the bar and wrapped it around herself. She grabbed the robe that was lying on the counter and put that on also. Then she walked out of the bathroom.

Gabriel was sitting in a bean bag chair reading a book.

“Hey you.”

“Hello. You feel better?”

“Yes, actually.”

“Good.”

He watched her as she walked over and sat on the bed. She played with her hands a little then looked up at him.

“Tell me, how many girlfriend have you had?”

He laughed lightly.“Too many. Not that I’m a man whore, but I’ve had a few.”

“Oh.”

“Well is it okay if we finish the 21 questions?”

“Sure. I think it was your turn.”

“Okay, where were you born?”

“Simple enough, I was born in Milwaukee, but raised here, Sweet California.”

“Ah, so simple home town girl huh?”

“Not exactly, I’ve moved around, L.A; Escondido, San Francisco; Sacramento. So yea now I’m here San Diego.”

“O okay, well that’s still cool.”

“Well, hmmm…siblings?”

“Yea little brother.”

“Really how old?”

“Ah, one question at a time. Best memory with Johnny.”

She smiled. “Okay okay, hmm... Haha okay, so this one time we went to Target, and rode bikes with his cousin all up and down the isles. It was so fun.”

“Wow that sounds like fun.”

“It was! So now, how old is the little one?”

“Ten.”

“Do I get to meet the parents?”

“Well. No.”

“What do you mean ‘no’?”

“Well, abut my parents, I don’t live with them. I got emancipated when I was 15.”

“Emacawhat?”

“Emancipated, it’s like a divorce from your parents. You just have to be able to prove you can live by yourself.”

“So it’s just going to be us?”

“Yea and Cedric and Ruthie.”

“Gabriel, I have a brilliant question. What am I gana wear for a week?”

She looked at the clock; it was 1:30pm. Anthony had called around 11.

“Oh, you have presented a little problem huh? Well you want to go shopping?”

She looked at him “Hi I’m broke, nice to meet you.”

“I have money.”“I couldn’t let yo-“

“Don’t be silly. And after, we can go to a movie.” Her silence was not reassuring to him. “Look, I told you I could take care of you and I will.”

“Okay, but I’m going to pay you back. Don’t even try and argue, cause I will win.”

He smiled. Now we jus wait for her clothes to dry then the fun can begin.
