She fell asleep slowly…drifting between her subconscious and reality. Thinking of Gabriel and the things he knew about her.

 Finally, she let the night capture her. She dreamed.

Anthony walked up to Chyrstal. ”I love you,” He whispered “I miss you. Happy Birthday.”

Then all she saw was him fading into the sky. 

When she woke in the morning, she calmly walked to the living room to check and see if Johnny had kept his promise. He had.   

   Work.

The word came into her mind as if someone had spoken it. She went to the bathroom and got ready. After she was finished with that, she grabbed “breakfast” [a hand full of cereal] and walked out the door.She drove to the mall and parked in the employ parking lot. She walked slowly up to the footlocker and walked in straight to the backroom and clocked in.8:02am.

She went to the front of the store and started to help a lady with her son. She helped a few more customers, and then it started to slow down.

It was around 12:15 and she walked over to Kevin who also worked there, the same one from the party. She had known him sense he was in 7^th grade so they got along really well. They were discussing the importance of baby oil, when Gabriel walked in.

Kevin recognized him from the party and made a face.

“What? I think that it’s also good for you hair. It’s not that bad of and idea…” Chyrstal said looking at him

“No its not that you right, but wasn’t that guy at your party last night?” Kevin said.

“What guy?” she asked and turned towards the door.

Sure enough there he stood.

He was already looking at her, and when he saw her look back, he smiled and waved.

“Yea your right. That is him. I wonder what he’s doing here...well I’m gana go find out.”She turned and walk to him.

“What are you doing here?” she questioned him

“I was talking to Johnny and he dropped a hit that you work here.”

“So you decided you take his hint and come see me?”

“Yup.”

“Remind me to kill him. So what can I do for you?”

Gabriel sighed. “A million things come to mind…but lunch would be nice.”

“Are you asking me out on a date?”

“In a way.” He said smugly

“That’s pretty bold.”

“I know, but I felt like I should take a chance before someone else did.”

“Well I haven’t had a boyfriend in about a year, and just because I say yes doesn’t mean we’re going out got it?”

He smiled at his victory. “Okay, so when do you get off?” he asked.

She looked at her phone. “In about 3 minuets. Let me go clock out.” She looked him up and down, shook her head and walked to the back.

She finished clocking out, and met Gabriel in the front.

“Okay, let’s go.” She said
