          Chyrstal walked up to Apartment 2B, she unlocked and opened the door gently. As she had predicted, she found Johnny sleeping quietly on her long couch. She walked over to the stereo, which was playing his beats as usual when she came home to find him here and turned it off. Her apartment wasn’t much; it was a one bedroom, one bathroom, with a small living room and a decent sized kitchen. It was small but she loved it. She looked at Johnny on the black and white stripped couch and thought back to the day she gave him a copy of her key.

 She remembered it was because he and his parents were having problems. His mom told him to get out one night and he had come to her house at 2am.

“Chris, my mom, she kicked me out. I don’t know-“

She had cut him off.

“Don’t worry about it. Come on, get in here.” she said with out even letting him finish.

He told her every thing, how he had snuck out to see his girlfriend, how he had gotten high in the garage and how he had came home one night completely faded.

That night she told him

“if you ever need anything. Anything at all you can come here. You can come jus to talk or if you need a place to stay, okay? Never hesitate to come over. It gets lonely here anyways” she had said with a sweet smile, trying to comfort her best friend.

He had finally fallen asleep around 5am, an hour later there was school. She didn’t wake him. She had written him a note stating how she went to school and if he needed anything call her. That evening when she returned he had a small suitcase in the corner and was watching TV.

“Chris, I’m gana leave tonight I promise.”

“Don’t be ridiculous. Stay as long as you need. I swear I don’t mind. Its not gana be any different.”

Every sense then he had come when ever he needed something. Tonight was weird to see him here because he’d said every thing had been going well. She had meant every thing she had said that night. 

 She had been lonely ever sense her mom died.

Chyrstal sighed.

 Her mom.

Chyrstal walked back to her room and grabbed her towel. She tied up her hair and walked to the bathroom. She turned on the shower and brushed her teeth while waiting for the water to heat up. When the water was warm enough she stripped off her clothes and got in. after washing up, she just stood there in the shower for some reason not wanting to move as the beads of water rolled off her body. Slowly her thoughts turned to work in the morning and she reluctantly stepped out of the shower. She grabbed her towel and wrapped it around her. As she walked back to her room she noticed that Johnny wasn’t on the couch. She closed the door to her room, dressed quickly, and walks into the kitchen.
