I guess I had fallen asleep because I woke up alone on the couch.  The TV was blue from being left on the DVD setting.  I got off the couch and went to the kitchen to get a drink of water when I heard Trent talking. "Leave them alone!" he mumbled. I gulped down the water wondering who he was talking to and if I really should have trusted him so soon.  My heart was pounding. I didnt know whether to leave or investigate his conversation.  I decided the latter.  I peeked my head around the door to the front porch.  There he was laying on the patio love seat obviously talking in his sleep.

I let out an enormous sigh of relief.  I need to stop being to so paranoid! I thought.  What a great guy! even in his dreams!  I went back to the livingroom and sat on the couch.  I was not tired so I decided to see what else he had for movies.  I thumbed through them reading the backs to some and completely dismissing others as they appeared not to spark my interest.

I came upon the Movie Love and Basketball  That was my choice.  I popped it into the DVD player and waited for the menu to appear on the huge screen of the TV.

I jumped then froze in fear as someone put their hand on my shoulder.  "whats the matter did I really scare you that bad?" Trent asked. as he walked around the couch making room to sit next to me

"sorry ive just been a little cautious with all of this going on."

"you dont have to apologize, I just want you to know, you will be safe with me. I wont let anyone hurt you!  I have a question. Is that ok?" he asked

"sure" I replied.

"What do you think of this situation?" He asked.

"It scares me! Ive never dealt with people like these men.  They are violent and dange......" I began.

"No not that situation.  What do you think about me and you? do you think this is just temporary or do you want to see if it will last?"

"No I dont want anything temporary, I really like you Trent and i would love if we could see how compatable we are.  You have been my savior in all of this mes...." I was saying.

He placed his index finger over my lips while making a quiet shhh noise.  He looked into my eyes and held my face in his hands.  "I think im falling in love with you Kristin. I know we havent known each other long but there is just something about you. Something that I cant quite put my finger on.  You are amazing and I am so lucky to have met you!"

Again he put me at a loss for words... "I feel the same way." I said. I know that wasn't a lot to say but it was all I had come up with. It was like he had taken my exact thoughts and made them into words only these were his words! We cuddled together for the rest of the night. What an amazing person. I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
