I looked at Maggie just wanting to console her but not really knowing how. If that had happened to me I would be so devastated. "what can i do to help?" I asked
She looked up at me, her eyes filled with pain. "We are going to get your daughter back." i said persistantly although I was racking my brain on how that was going to happen. "Grab the keys and Ill meet you outside." I said. I ran to my bedroom to grab something and met her outside.
We hopped into the Jeep with determination in our eyes. "what did you get?" she asked.
"youll see, these men are not going to mess with me and get away with it." I peeled out of the driveway causing one of the neighbors to peek through their mini-blinds to see what was going on. I hurried to Giffords not worrying about getting pulled over. Once we got closer I told Maggie to duck down so she wouldnt be seen.
"the plan is that you grab Sarah when they are getting into the car and I will take care of them." She nodded that she understood. I pulled into Giffords scanning the area to see where they were. I saw them sitting at a picnic table over at the other side of the parking lot. Good I thought they are in secluded area.
I motioned for Maggie to get out. She went over and quietly picked Sarah up. I could see the anger building in Jason's eyes. She put her in the Jeep. I walked up behind him poking him hard in the back with the cold hard chamber of my 9mm gun. "if you come near them again I will use this and I will not miss. Leave them alone!"
The anger in his eyes turned to fear and hatred. He backed off as Maggie was motioning for me to hurry. I put the gun back into the front of my pants and walked back to the Jeep. I left the parking lot slowly so i didnt cause us much attention. I turned left and went down the street.
"we cant go back to your house they will find us there!" Maggie pleaded.
"dont worry im not taking you there." I said as i turned the radio on to a country station.
"I had a fun time mommy but uncle jason said mean things about you." Sarah said.
"Im glad you had a good time baby dont worry about uncle jason he just wasnt feeling good today." Maggie answered.
I drove for a few hours deep into nowhere. "where are you taking us?" Maggie asked. There was something in her voice that sounded shaky.
"I have a camp up in Foxwell Valley. There are not many people around there and i doubt they would think to look there." I reassured her.
"I hope not." she stammered.
