I couldn’t answer. My mind was completely blank. I just smiled and leaned closer to his lips. Jamie pulled me closer and pushed his lips against mine softly. The world seemed to freeze. Fireworks were igniting everywhere- he was an amazing kisser.

Passion erupted as he ran his fingers through my hair and slipped his tongue in between my lips to meet mine. He rubbed the back of my neck and shoulders while he massaged my tongue with his. I closed my eyes- enjoying every second of it. I let out a little moan. Jamie pulled away after one last peck on the lips. My eyes were still closed but I knew he was smiling at me.

Jamie- I know this is fast, but I’ve never felt like this with a girl before

I was about to reply when my phone started ringing. I sighed- it was Rachel. I couldn’t believe her awful timing.

Me- Please call me later

Rachel- What’s wrong with answering the phone with a friendly “hello” Abi?

Me- You have no idea what you have just interrupted. I’ve killed for much less, and I’ll damn sure do it again

Rachel- Well I did tell you I was gonna call you later- remember, at school? When you apparently lost your ability to speak English?

Me- Shut up- it was the eyes dammit! They’re huge!

Jamie knew I was talking about him. He chuckled and gave me a cheeky smile.

Rachel- Who was that? What did I interrupt?

Me- I’ll tell you tomorrow

Rachel- Damn you woman!

Me- Are you messaging people? I can hear you typing on your keyboard

Rachel- Just talking to Steve

Me- Oh shit…

Rachel- OH MY GOD you can say that again!

Me- Oh shit?

Rachel- Oh my God… Abi you will never believe what he’s just said!

Me- What?

Rachel- How fast can you come to mine?

Me- Well, I’m at the park so I’ll only be 5 minutes

She hung up on me. I knew this was serious- but I had a gorgeous guy in front of me, who apparently really liked me. He tilted his head again.

Jamie- Do you have to go?

I didn’t want to say yes. I still had the taste of him in my mouth. I just wanted to keep kissing him. I threaded my fingers in between his and lightly held his hand. They fitted together perfectly. I couldn’t leave him. So I stayed and we kissed some more and everything Rachel said was forgotten. But when Jamie pulled away for the last time, something in me snapped.

Me- I’m sorry…

Jamie- What for?

Me- I… I have to go. Rachel needs me- and friends come first with me

I don’t know why, but I didn’t give him the chance to reply. I got up and walked away- shaking every step of the way, and on the brink of tears.
Stop it Abi- you’ll see him tomorrow for Christ’s sake!

I shook my head and walked faster. Before I had even reached Rachel’s front door, she swung it back and jumped at me

Rachel- WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN- I THOUGHT YOU HAD DIED

Me- But, I… What?

Rachel- THERE’S NO TIME- read this

She threw some paper at me and slammed the door in my face. It was her messenger conversation between her and Steve.

Rachel- How are you?
Steve- Crap
Rachel- How come?
Steve- Cos of Abi…

Oh no…
