An Unpredictable Love 18

“Let me unhook you first.” The nurse unhooked me and let me go to the bathroom. When I washed my hands I looked up into the mirror. BIG Mistake, I saw what I didn’t desire. My face was extremely puffy and bruised. I didn’t recognize myself at all, it was scary it was like I was stuck in a horror film that I couldn’t get out of.  I started to cry, not knowing if I’d ever be or look the same again. Andy fucked me up big time. No wonder he was going to prison. I wiped off my face and went back to my bed. A different nurse came in and brought my food.

“What’s on the menu today?” I asked.

“Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, rice pilaf, veggies and Jello, to drink you get Juice.” That sounded really good, or so I thought. After I ate my nurse came back in.

“Hey nurse, do you think I can walk around for a little bit? I want to stretch my legs out.” I asked with innocent eyes.

“Well…I don’t know. Since you can walk…are your legs hurting at all?” she asked. I shook my head no. “Well I have to talk to the doctor.” I deiced to sit on the edge of the bed. If I was able to walk and eat solids then why in hell was I still in here?  Oh right on the account of me dying then suddenly slipping into a coma for a week then coming out of it. Then I had crazy people trying to kill me. Damn my life sure was unpredictable. So were the people I love.

The nurse and doctor came back.

“I hear that you want to go walk around?” The doctor questioned. I nodded.

“Well your cast is off. But we need to do x-rays. You are by far the most speediest person to recover in this hospital.” I smiled. I didn’t feel like saying anything. I was weak as it was. I had had enough of it all I just wanted to go home. Home the word alone sounded sinister.

The doctor left along with the nurse as Hyden came into the room. I leaped off of my bed and into his arms.

“Whoa Kali, wow it’s good to see that you’re feeling better!” He laughed.

“I have something to tell you.” I said

“Yeah? What it is?”

“I love you Hyden. All that time I said I hated you I was hiding the truth.”

“I love you too Kali, I’m not just saying that either. I mean it.” After he said that I felt all giggly and happy. Hyden put me back into my bed so that way he wouldn’t get into trouble.

Then Brent came in with a wheel chair.

“I hear someone is almost well enough to go home!”

“Yes! And I am so excited too! I can’t wait!” I said.

“Well then get into the wheelchair and we’ll go get your x-rays done” Hyden kept giving him a weird look as I got into the wheelchair.

“So who’s this?” Brent asked.

“My boyfriend Hyden” I said. At that Hyden smiled a warm smile in my direction.

“Well Hyden, you’re a very lucky guy to have a girl like Kali.” Hyden’s smile widened.

As we left Mark and my dad came into the room. I was really happy knowing that I finally had people that loved me.

After I got back my room was pretty much full.
