"...Long, thick, shiny black hair wrapped itself around Meredith’s soft white neck. It tightened quickly bringing her fast paced breathing to a rapid halt. Meredith struggled for her life; grasping and tearing at the evil tresses. She pulled several handfuls of the hair turned noose before collapsing onto the floor of her closet. Her head smacked the wooden floor, her eyes still open, black hair clenched in her hand.

It had been almost three whole years since Jesse and Warren started dating and finally they were taking that big step and moving in together. They liked each other but they sure as hell weren’t in love. Jesse and Warren both knew this “big step” in their relationship was an excuse to move out from their parents basements plus the sex was great and having their own place would only increase their sexual intake. “What’s wrong with this one? I like it, in a vintage artsy sort of way.” Warren said. “Yeah if you think cockroaches and or rats are either vintage or artsy.” Jesse said watching one of the shiny indestructible bugs scurry under the pink Frigidare. “Well we have one more to look at today.” He said. “This one even has an attached garage!” Jesse did not look pleased with his show of fake enthusiasm over the supposed upgrade of the next apartment. “Well let’s hope this apartment doesn’t have uninvited guests.” Jesse replied as she seems to writhe in pain at the sight of a mouse trap under the kitchen table. “I’ll keep my fingers crossed.” Warren said smirking and crossing his index finger over his middle.

They pulled into the parking lot that sat next to the tall stone apartment building. Jesse looked up at it, the building reminded her of an old film in which the building was not an apartment building at all, but a hotel where two lovers meet in secret because if their love is found out they will be parted forever. “Are you coming?” Warren yelled to Jesse. Warren was already out of the car and knocking on Jesse’s side window. “Don’t worry I know its tall but the apartment we are looking at is only on the sixth floor, sure you will probably still die if you fall out the window but you won’t have as long to think about what is about to happen.” Warren joked. “Funny.” Jesse said pushing open the door in an attempt to shove Warren aside. They took each others hand and walked up towards what would soon be their new home.

Boxes lined the walls of the new apartment. Various sized brown boxes marked “Warren’s Shit” and “Jesse’s Stuff“. The couple had spent all day and all they accomplished was bringing in all their belongings not including any real furniture and hooking up the T.V.. Jesse threw a bright red bean bag chair onto the middle of the living room floor. She followed soon behind by flopping down into it so hard it popped a seam in the side. Tiny white what appeared to be foam balls flew up into the air from the newly created rip in the beanbag. She looked at the white balls of foam and let out a long deep breathe. “Oh well, I don’t care I am exhausted” She said wiping small beads off sweat from under her short blonde bangs. “Me too.” Warren said as he cracks open a beer. “I’m going to love it here.” Jesse smiled. “I’ll clean up the chair accident, you go take your first shower in our new bathroom.” Warren said waving her off towards the bathroom. Jesse stood up and kissed Warren on the forehead and made her way across the newly polished wood floor towards the bathroom. Warren finished his beer then got up to find a broom and dustpan for the foam. It took him a good minute to find one amongst the brown box city he was part of. When he had brushed all the pieces into a tidy pile he reached down to sweep it all into the dustpan. “What the fuck?” Warren mouthed. Where Jesse had made the seam rip there was something hanging out of it now. Warren dropped the broom and reached over to touch whatever it was. “Hair?” Warren thought. It was hair. Confused, Warren started pulling it out of the hole. He just kept pulling and pulling it out. Warren took a pocket knife out of his back pocket and cut open the red beanbag chair. He ripped it the rest of the way open. The whole chair was filled with black hair. Black hair that seemed to be one strand with no beginning or end. Warren siphoned through the hair as if he were going to find an answer there. Once he realized he was running his hands through he shot back against the wall. Warren just stared at the ripped beanbag and all that hair he found inside..."
