 The rain drops fell from the sky and bounced from the puddles below my feet. I was cold, freezing to be exact but i had no where to go. I shivered as the Icey rain got heavier and i knew i had to find shelter. I ran to a phone booth down the road and slid inside, and closed the door. The foggy booth was dry and i stood in it looking through the glass at the pouring rain.

 My Mom had kicked me out, for a tiny little mistake. So here i was, 14 no clothes, no food, and no where to call home. I wimpered silently to myself for i was frightened. How would i survive? As the rain died down a bit i slipped out of the cramped booth and made my way to the homeless shelter, a mile away.

 My legs ached as i made the long walk towards the shelter. Thunder above boomed, and my stomach growled. Sadly, i would not have food tonight i thought. Half way to the shelter a truck slowed down and rolled down its windows. "Hey need a ride?" a warm assuring voice called out to me. I normally would have said no, but i was homeless, "Yes" i called back running up. I sat in the car with the stranger, and shut my door.
