Dear Diary... 14

Cam’s eyes fluttered and then closed tightly as she breathed in deeply. A new scent hit her nose, a male scent, along with the steady rhythm of a heartbeat and breathing. Groaning, Cam’s eyes slowly opened and she pulled her arm across something warm before sitting up. As her eyes fully opened and her mind processed what was happening, Cam screamed and shoved Dar out of her bed with all the force she could muster.

"What the hell are you doing?!" She shrieked at him.

Dar woke with a start, a yelp and then a groan as his body hit the floor. Rolling around the floor, he clutched his head, mumbling incoherent words. Cam had crawled out of her bed, a pillow in her hands. Smacking Dar repetitively, she listened to his groans and yelps. After a few hits though, Dar snatched the pillow from her and tossed it in the opposite direction.

"You ask me a question and then don’t let me answer it." He growled, pulling his legs up before pushing off the ground to stand.

"Fine," Cam grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest as she walked to the dresser. "Explain."

"You were crying in your sleep last night when I came in." Dar stated, scratching the back of his head lightly, "So I came over and calmed you down. I must of fallen asleep while doing so."

Cam didn’t say anything, only sighed. If it was false she had no real way of proving it so for all she knew he could be right. Grumbling to herself, Cam pulled out a pair of socks, a red bra, a fresh pair of underwear, a blood red tank top and black jeans. Then she rummaged through the assorted jewelry that was on top of the dresser and pulled out a few black and red ball bracelets, a ball necklace and a hair tie.

"I’m going to go take a shower." She commented, ignoring Dar as she headed to the bathroom.

A little more than a half hour later, Cam came out of the bathroom, clothes on and hair tied back lazily. "What time is it?" She asked Dar as she shooed him off her bed to put her shoes on.

"We’ve got about a half hour till school starts." He stated, glancing at the clock on his phone. "It’s only 6:45."

"Right." Cam mumbled, adjusting her pants and then heading to Lohin’s room. "Where’d you get those clothes? Lohin’s again?" Dar nodded as he followed her.

"Yeah. I wish I had brought my own, coming here was last minute."

Cam hid her smile as she dug through Lohin’s closet for a jacket to borrow and then found a belt to wear as well. "’Kay." She stated once she was done. "I want to hit Dunkin Donuts on the way to school so we should leave now."

"You paying?" Dar asked raising an eyebrow as she stepped in line with her.

"No." Cam scoffed, grabbing her book bag. "That’s why I have you."

Dar sighed and then hit Cam over the back of the head while they headed to the garage. "Nice try."

"Ow." Cam grumbled, glaring at Dar before she gave him a puppy dog face. "Oh come on. It’s not like it’s going to kill you."

Dar mimicked dying as he pulled his keys out of his pocket. "Yes it will."

"No, it won’t." Cam whined back before she stopped dead in her tracks. Dar jogged past her, getting on to his gorgeous all black street bike. "You’ve got one too?" She commented, voice soft and full of amazement.

"We fairies like things that go fast when we come to the Human world." Dar responded, slipping the helmet on, opening the garage door and then starting the bike. Cam hurried after him and slide into spot on the bike, placing the helmet on before wrapping her arms around Dar’s waist. "Is it the same as Lohin’s?" She asked as they pulled out of the driveway and headed to Dunkin Donuts.

"No, mines a Suzuki Hayabus GSX 1300R. Lohin’s is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14." Dar replied.

"Oh." Cam replied. She had no idea what the difference was besides the companies and color. Both bikes looked the same to her. Not that it really matter. She loved them either way.

As Dar pulled into the school parking lot, most people stared as they parked and Cam noticed Jessica and her lackeys watching not far off surrounded by a group of male football players. Dar took her cup of hot chocolate while she pulled her helmet off and placed it on the back of Dar’s bike. As soon as she relieved who she was, she knew people were talking about her. As they switched roles, Cam caught the site on Jessica’s face. It was one of surprise and if Cam had her camera she would of definitely taken a picture. It was priceless to see the Pom Pom Queen’s face all distorted in confusion.

"They think I’m Lohin." Dar replied, as he slipped an arm around her waist. "I’ve got them thinking that I’m him so there isn’t any confusion and you’re not asked questions during the day."

"Right." Cam muttered hurriedly as they headed up the steps to the schools Main Doors. It felt weird will all eyes on her. It was like they she was at the movies all over again and Cam couldn’t help but search out through the crowd for Meg to appear.

She didn’t get very far because her best friend was soon running towards her, a giant smile on her face.

"Cam!" Meg squealed and Cam slipped from Dar’s embrace to hug her friendly as tight as she could with a cup of hot liquid in her hands.

"Meg! I missed you so much! This week has been Hell for me." She muttered pulling away.

"So when did you two clowns start dating?" A female voice asked and Cam groaned. Jessica blocked their way into the main building and Cam wasn’t in the mood to entertain a monkey.

"Who’s she?" Dar whispered, his eyes locking on Jessica.

"Jessica." Cam responded quietly back, "The bitch who thinks she rules the school."

Dar gave a slight nod before he returned his arm around Cam and motioned for Meg to follow them as they walked around the group of people.

"Hey!" Jessica yelled, her voice full of shock as the group turned around to face them, "I was talking to you!"

Dar stopped in his tracks and turned around to face Jessica. "No one cares," He stated, "what you have to say. Your head maybe full of air but that doesn’t mean you need to pollute other peoples every time that mouth of yours opens."

People around then snickered and laughed, and Cam noticed Jessica’s eyes widen before they narrowed in a glare.

"What did you say?" She hissed.

Dar looked shocked and laughed, "Jeez, now your dumb and deaf? Wow, I feel slightly bad for your parents for having to raise you."

Cam couldn’t help but laugh as other continued to join in the giggles through out the crowd. She wasn’t sure how Lohin would really act in this situation, but Dar was handling it very well. It was as if he was natural at dealing with Jessica and Cam realized he probably was. There were probably women like Jessica in the court back in Fairy World that he would have to deal with all the time.

"Go away and entertain yourselves with some crayons." Dar stated, turning back around and leading Meg and Cam into the school.

"Wow." Meg stated as she tried to halt her giggles. "Go Lohin."

Dar's arm went slightly stiff around Cam's waist and she figured he must of forgotten he was posing as Lohin while he was here. Standing on her tip toes, Cam placed a kiss on Dar's cheek. "Thanks you growing idiot." She whispered to him.

Dar chuckled, "Your welcome." He stated, finishing off his coffee and throwing the empty container in the waste basket. Placing a kiss on Cam's cheek, he wished her the best day ever and then headed off to his homeroom.

"You guys are so cute together." Meg mumbled. "Wish I had a boyfriend."

Cam nearly choked on her hot chocolate as she laughed. "It's got its up and downs but so its mostly in the middle."

"What do you mean?" Meg asked, as they stopped at her locker.

"Just some things are going on with his family and now that my moms died, everything's all screwed up." Meg nodded and then patted her friend on the back.

"Come on lets get to homeroom. We can talk later." Cam nodded and followed her friend back to her homeroom.
