I felt dizzy. Toungue-tied. I could barely speak. Kaity, like the wonderful person that she is, realized this and covered for me in most of my classes. At lunch however, she punced on me 

"SPILL. NOW! you've been on cloud nine all day."

"I know." I replied, dreamily. No matter what I tried, although I didn't try very hard mind you, I couldn't get him out of my head. Our date. Our kiss. I tried my best to describe everything to Kaity, but words, rather, the making sense of them, just seemed beyond my capacity at the moment.  Then, a shadow fell over my table.

"SO, I heard you're going out with Derek now." Aundrea sneered, "Good luck with that." Her plastic firends snickered at this.

My brain, thank god, snapped into reality."Aundrea, if the only reason you're here is to mock me, please leave. I don't feel like dropping my I.Q points so I can insult you in way that you'd understand." Her posse gasped at this.

"Big words, for a BIG girl. Im surprised Derek even talks to you now, aren't you like, permanently glued to a book?"

"Wow. really. That's the best you could come up with? I mean, I know you're snobby, but do you have to be an air-head as well? At least give me something to work with, besides your fake hair, fake eyes, fake friends, fake life. Insulting that kinda get's boring after a while."

All Aundrea could manage after this was an "uch!" along with a face that was perfectly frozen in anger and frustration. I was really enjoying this moment when it got even better. Derek finally received his lunch, sat down beside me, and kissed me on the cheek before realizing his ex-girlfriend was standing there. "Oh, hey Aundrea" He said non-chalantly, then promply began eating. She flashed me a look that could burn, then flounced away, and her clones followed suit. "What was that about?" Derek asked in between bites. God, even when he's eating, he looks cute. Like, a 5 year-old or something. SNAP OUT OF IT, I yelled at myself. "I don't know," I said, trying(and failing) to look cool. Kaity shot me a look, saying that I had better stop looking so pathetic. I know, I know. But I can't help it. I'm a girl in love.
