Chivalry is dead-7

The morning came too quickly. I shoved down a cereal bar, dressing hastily. The bell had rung as I rushed around the corner knocking into Twitch. He grabbed my wrist and hauled me into class. The classes passed in a haze. Well to me at least.

Outside it was sunny, for a first. I was agitated; restless. I wanted to get out I wanted to run. I groaned. It was only third period. 56:18 and counting till lunch. Till I saw Spencer. I looked over at Winifred who hugged her knees rocking back and forth. Jena picked at her frail fingers. Twitch of course was Twitching. Catching Jena’s eye he smiled adoringly at her. She smiled back, her pall thin cheeks flushing a pink hue. I smiled and turned back to my notebook.

Lunch. Spencer. I sat next to him thanks to Jena who left her seat open to sit with Twitch and Bobby who was leaning away looking outside. I felt a surge of anger towards him. Why does he get to go home? Ehck. Spencer brushed his finger across my sleeve delicately. I pulled my hand away instinctively placing it in my lap. He frowed down at me. I could feel it. I sipped at my water. Giggles erupted from Pixie who sat next to Winifred. Winifred had her face turned up, sideways glacing at Jena and Twitch. Jena had her head resting on Twitch’s shoulder. Couple? I chewed at my bottom lip. Winifred laughed now tilting her head back. I couldn’t help but smile. Her purple and black starred t-shirt spakled in the sunlight pouring in through the window.

"Did you sleep okay?" Spencer asked me. He was now turned toward me. His hair pushed from his eyes. I shrugged, "Sure yeah." I played with my sliver pin. My comfort.

"Its nice out." He commented lamely. I giggled, "Do they let us go outside?" I inquired looking up at him.

"Yeah they’ll probably let us out today." My mood lightened hearing this. He touched the hem of his Used shirt. I ran my finger over the hem of my own nervously.

"I want to show you some place outside." He whispered glancing over his shoulder. "I only know about it." He confided leaning foreward. I breathed catching his scent. It was warm, comforting, woody almost. "But I want to show you."

I smiled feeling warmth rush over me. He smiled back his pink lip breaking into a smile. I felt flutters of happiness flur into my stomach. I deliberated what would happen out at the place he wanted to take me. Warily I looked up at him. Trusting Spencer was going to be a huge road block for me to get over. Trusting anyone for that matter. But the way Spencer too was hurt, and lone, and the way he didnt have to look at me to comfort my nerves.It was his presence, his ambiance that pulled me in. Gravity.
