"He’s getting adopted?" Asked the emo kid. His hoodie was down so now I could see a pale face, and a mop of messy brown hair. His eyes were fixated on the checkered shoes that Pixie wore. Winifred nodded, "They signed the papers yesterday, some nice family in Livingston." I chewed harder on my pen closing my notebook tossing it under my bed. I slipped down to sit on the step next to the emo kid. Twitch sat, curled up hugging his knees inbetween Pixie and Jena. "Do they have a dog?" Twitch asked miserably. Winifred nodded. I saw Twitchs’ lip quiver and he buried his head inbetween his knees. I felt a pang of I didnt know what.

"He used to have a dog. Twitch was like...Wolf child." The emo boy said. He fumbled around with a pin in his pale fingers, "Im Spencer." He said softly. I smiled, "Wizard." He down at me confused.

"Her word for cool!" Twitch explained he was obviously calmed now, he sat with his legs stretched out and his face only a light pink. I grin at him.

"Wicked name for cool." Pixie says smiling. "Thanks." I lean back on my elbows stretching my legs out.

"This sucks." Winifred groans looking out the window. Its raining again. I can’t rember when the last time it was sunny.

"Sucks more than monkey balls." Pixie huffs. Jena giggles and wrap her arms around her knees. "Theres nothing to do." She agrees.

"I hate this place, I just want to leave." Toby says twisting his wrists, "Doesn’t everybody?" Twitch counters. I smile, "What if the home sucks?" I ask.

"Then we come back." Jena mumbles. I shrug again.

"I’ve been here for a year." Twitch says, "Two." Winifred sighs. "Eight months." Jena said scratching behind her ear, " Same." chirps Pixie. "15 years." hums Spencer. I stare at him shocked. "I’ve been here since I was born okay?" He twists at his bracelet, then he looks up at me.

His eyes. Pained, I can feel them on mine boring into me. His eyes are surrounded by thick black lashes. His eyes, sea green slivers of ice blue run through them. Spencer... He looks down and away from me. His brown hair blocking my veiw of his face, which is beautiful. Pale and freckled, his nose at the perfect angle. His jaw strong and chisled. Jesus. Who could dump off a child like this?
