Seth walked over to my dresser touching my sunglasses, running his fingertips over my notebook. He drew a small star on the dusty tv. He jingled my keys, and fingered my stuffed doggy. He grinned at me. I smiled faintly back.I came and sat on my bed beside me. Gazing at all of my posters and artwork tacked to the wall. It seemed surreal seeing Seth, feeling his looming presence, and the dip in the bed he made. He grazed my cheek with his hand, I leaned in glancing down at his pink lips posed to attack mine. His hand came around and he pushed me into him. Slowly and softly his kissed me, I foced on his bottom lip gently sucking a lightly nibbling taking in these new sensations. I leaned back on the bed pulling him into me. Seth was beginning to become my air. And it frightened me. While he kissed me I slipped my arm out from under him, slapping my stereo on MayDay Parade echoed through my room. And with that I lost myself into him.

I heard my moms car pull into the driveway. Seth pulled away searching my eyes frantically. "Go." I whispered. But I heard the door open and the jingle of keys. "Shit, Kaylee." He growled and gave me a quick peck. He slid his t-shirt of tearing on his sweatshirt and I tugged on my own shirt. "I can’t jump from here!" He whispered, peering out the window. I felt the butterflies ram into the side of my stomach. I garbbed his sleeve and I raced down stairs with him in tow. I pressed him into the wall and peered into the kitchen. My mom was there rummaging through her purse. "Stay." I told him. Seth nodded gulping. "Hey mom!" I popped into the kitchen hiccuping. "Can you go get that medicine from the...uh, cabinet?" "Asprin?" I nodded. "Mhm." My mom left her bag and went into the cabinet. I pushed Seth out the door. "You hiccup when your nervous?" He asked once outside. I nodded. And craned my neck seeing my mom approach us. "Run!" I hissed shoving Seth off my porch where Bandit stood snozing. I popped the tiny pill and watched him race off into the night. "Well who is that?" My mom asked watching him race up the road. I thoughtI was caught. I hiccuped three times before answering her, "Some-." Hiccup. "Nut." Hiccup.

Running, I was running. Someone was chasing me, and I was chasing someone. I pushed my legs harder. I could see but it was blurry. I could barley make out Seth. We were in a cemetery and I was dodging rotted headstones. Dark trees loomed at the edges, their roots teeming out into my path. Ahead Seth tripped. Something hard and glacially cold hit me. I cried out. Or at least I tried but nothing came. I saw an angry sadistic loomed peering down at me the black holes of his eyes bore into mne painfully.Its face was severly deformed and it hissed letting out a war cry. The demon like thing reached out to strike me and I awoke. I was lying on my couch drenched in cold sweat. I panted and sat up shaking. I heard a deep dong from the grandfather clock. I got up and rushed into the bathroom.

I cranked the heat on the bathroom water letting it woosh into the white porcelain tub. I tied my hair back and watched the steam snake up the curtains. It was so cold. And it was getting to be summer. I looked outside almost fearing id see the horrible creature in my dreams. The soaking tub finally filled. And I shut it off. I slid into the tub as the water hit my legs I winced. The water seared, but I accustomed to it. I watched the steam float into the chilly air. I looked to my left. A mural of a garden was painted on the wall and a slant of light hit a bed of granolias illuminating the soft pinks and the deep purples. I stared zoning off again until I heard my mother bang on the door. "Kaylee! Im going out to the city! Be back tommorow night!" I thought nothing of it as she stomped down the stairs. My mom always left, it never really bothered me.

"When you stood up to the snakes my heart stopped." I sat across from Tyler. The whole gang sat in the living room. Meeting. I pulled at my shoelace. The windows were open and fresh air and sunlight poured in elucidating the whole mill. "Kaylee you were right. But Seth was right too. Its what we chose." Darren commented. Things had been settled between them. But Tyler felt that they weren’t to be trusted and I was supposed to spy on them. Great. I thought glumly. "Seth can join you or Ryan." Teeler said wrapping her arms around Tylers waist. I smiled, "I’ll take her." Seth said defensively. Ryan shoved him, "Don’t touch me you mother-." He was cut off by Levi tossing a pillow at him. "Both of you go." Tyler said sternly. And that was the end of that. Seth shot painful looking glares at Ryan but Ryan smiled.
