"Fuck man!" I heard a voice growl. I snuggled deeper into the couch that Seth had set me on. I could feel the warm comfort of sleep slowly fading away. "How could you let them get that close!" It was Tylers perfect voice that boomed. Stirring my from my sleep. I kicked the blanket off to and set my feet on the carpet. "Its not my fault!"

I peered over the black leather couch seething only to see Darren and Tyler stood inches away from each other. They were still in there clothes from last night. Except for Darren. He stood shirtless. Every muscle on his back defined as he took a step back. I watched staring at Darren. Wow. Just wow. His back was pale but the brawny. "You’re a fuckhead!" Tyler said throwing his red T shirt at Darren. "What the hell?" He argued tugging the shirt violently over his body. "How the fuck was I supposed to know she was a fucking Jay?" "Because you idiot! She had the fucking brand on her ankle! When you banged her didnt you fucking see?!" I sucked in air and the both turned to me fuming. "Great now the fucking freak knows!" That pissed me off more than it should have. "Listen you little prick don’t call me a fucking freak! Im not the one banging a rival gang chick now am I?" I grabbed my shoes from the edge of the couch slipping them on. Seth and Teeler stood at the foot of the stairs. Seth wore a emotionless mask. He stood in pajamas. Teeler was wrapped in a pink blanket. She was still half-asleep. I stormed from the mill.

I stood my arms wrapped around Bandit. Why did I freak out like that? Bandit pressed his nose filled with love and comfort into my back. He had been waiting for me. His ears perked listening to fight rage on inside. We now sat where Levi first came to get me. I sat with my toes in the small pool of crystal like water. I watched as a few guppies swam by brushing my toes. I giggled and looked over at Bandit. I looked at how the sun seemed to warm his charcoal fur. He swished his tail his head buried in the grass filling his stomach. His mane drifted downwards swaying in the light breeze. He tore a mouthful and gazed at me. There was something calming about Bandit. They way he came from hell and still found something inside of him to urge him to love. I played with a strand of grass and I leaned back. Letting the morning sunlight cast over me. I felt it warm my skin crawling up my pale freckled arms to my neck. I pressed my feet into the pebbles of the pool. I fell away into the soft rhythmic gurgles of the pool.

I heard the ricochet of hooves thundering agaisnt the forest floor. Alarmed I shoved my feet into my converse. Bandit stood stiff. I looked at him he had frozen completely in place. A long howl peirced the silence with a deafening vigor. I stood and went to Bandit. I leaped to his back. Who is that? I thought desperately as Bandit shifted under me. Where do I go? My thoughts were answered when I saw them. A group of young men on horses thundered foreward. Bandit reared. They looked like the just finished highschool. Scruffy un shaved. The slide to a halt rearing as myself and Bandit stood now frozen in place. Around their thick necks hung a golden chain and on that chain hung a silver snake. They were dressed in thick black coats. In the summer? Must be a fashion statement. I mused. "You have no business in these woods young lady." The big one with brown hair and taut cheeks told me. I rolled my eyes. No! This is not the time to give them the run over of ‘fuck you you don’t even know me!’ My conscious blazed. "To hell I do!" I growled. Fuck fuck fuck.

"Seth! Teeler! Darren!" I called. Now Bandit had his head down. He surged underneath me. The men behind we chased after us at a mindblowing velocity. "Little girl!" They called there voices dripping in stress. They themselves were probably dripping in sweat. Stupid overgrown apes. Finally the mill came into veiw. They sat mounted on their horses. This isnt a game. The thought chilled me as I circled the mill coming to an unsteady stop by Teeler. She smiled at me. The apes- excuse me the "snakes" Came to a stop. Tyler cleared his throat. "What business do you have coming over onto my latch?" His voice seared with authority. "My father will have your heads!" Tylers horse tossed its head snorting. Bandit did not drop his. He stood a few hands taller. Then it hit me. Tyler and his gang was nothing more than pawns in their fathers gangs. Sickening thought. Tyler was allowed control of a certain peice of forest. A latch. Everyone son of the ganglord’s probably had a latch. The latch was only a cover up so that the real gang could do their business under the radar. And the latches was only toy’s for the boys to be occupied with.
