Jenny, Kate, and me were in the bathroom fixing our hair and make up."Natty your such a pretty girl, stop hiding your face behind those curls," said Kate, while putting my curls behind my ears. Kate and me were best friends since kindergarden, and  both had these best friend necklaces. Jenny is friends with us too, but she doesn't have one and she doesn't mind either.The great thing about Kate, is that she always tries to make you feel good about yourself.I'm short and I have really curly hair, that I totally dislike, but Kate always says that I look cute that way.

"You are so ready for Derek, girl!He will so notice you!" exclaimed Jenny.I blushed.There is this guy in my grade that I really like this year.Last year he was all bony and geeky, but this year all that changed.Now he plays sports, talks all cool, and hangs out with two most popular guys in my school! One of them is an exchange student from Italy, Alexander[ Alex for short], he is gorgeous and he has  girlfriend thats waiting for him in Italy, in a fabulous designer dress.All the girls want him, but he's way above my level, and I like Derek anyways.Though there have been rumor, that he hooked up with a super model here in America.Any way the other guy is Kile, and he's the best player on our school's football team.

 " Natty, we got to take of these cheap best friend necklaces.They don't match our hot outfits!" Kate said while taking off her best friend necklace.When Kate told me that I kind of felt my heart sink, but I took it of anyway."Okay ladies we are so ready, lets go!" I heard Jenny say as she opened the bathroom door for me and Kate.
