Tristan frantically rummaged through a steel box, searching amongst it's contents. He finally grasped a warm, plastic packet. Practically ripping the package from the box, he tore it open with his teeth and held it above his gaping mouth. His body calmed as the warm blood dripped onto his tongue. His eyes glowed a warm yellow color and his fangs extended, his thirst was finally answered. The empty package fell beside him and blood dripped from his lips as he licked them clean. Sighing with relief, Tristan sat back against the wall. "That was close..." He muttered to himself, "real close."
Tristan, a tall, athletic, dark haired, silver-eyed , "too cute for you" new kid, walked with a few friends from school. They were heading to a all-nighter party, once you arrived, you weren't supost to leave- key word being, weren't. The hidden fact of the matter was, Tristan hadn't had lunch today, lunch being - a warm packet of blood hidden in his locker. He forgot to re-stock so he had to skip the daytime meal and try to hold off until dinner. Now, dinner wasn't even an option, which meant Tristan was a walking time bomb. If he didn't feed soon, he wouldn't be able to control himself. As soon as they got to this party, he had to quietly slip away and get home-fast.
The music grew louder as the guys approached the Datres mansion. The host of the party, Stacy Datres, was a skinny little rich bitch, probably drunk off her ass by now. Kieth, one of the guys walking with Tristan, was aiming to score. Tristan, was hoping for a quick get away. He could already hear his friends heartbeats, this - was a huge risk.
The guys finally entered the house and were immediatly swallowed in the music, dancing and laughter. Different colored lights flashed in one room as a large group of students danced together. Tristan parted from the group and searched for the back door. He entered the kitchen and everyone in there glanced at him. "Hey, you're the new kid." A girl grinned, walking over. She traced his bicep with her acrylic nail and eyed him seductively. Tristan ignored the strong alcohol smell trailing on every word of hers. "Yeah, the new kid... that's me." He politely smiled. She laughed and almost fell on him, "What's your name... newbie?" "Tristan." He answered, noticing more of her friends moving in to touch him. He slowly backed away and waved before dissapearing into the crowded dance room. Kieth got what he wanted- Stacy was already leading him through the crowd, towards the stairs, to her bedroom. Tristan laughed and shook his head. Kieth shrugged and patted Tristans back. Everything seemed to slow down and Tristan could smell blood in the air. He felt a chill run through him and his vision zoned in on a girl in the middle of the room. Her long, dark hair bounced on her shoulders as she danced to the music. She ran her hands up her body and threw them into the air while swaying her hips. Tristan clenched his teeth and slowly advanced towards her. Her hair fell to the side, revealing her smooth neck. He could feel his thirst growing stronger. 'Wait,' He thought to himself, 'I need to leave...' But yet, Tristan advanced, he found himself dancing with this girl, whom he was oddly drawn to. Turning to face him, the girl wrapped one leg around him and they both moved together. Tristan bowed his head and held her up with one arm. Arching her back, she practically shoved her neck in his face. He gripped the back of her head and forced himself to breathe on her skin, but he wouldn't dare let his lips land. " Dont break dont break my heart...." Marilyn Manson's voice echoed around them, " and I won't break your heart shaped glasses..." She ran her one finger up his neck and she gently touched his one earrring. Tristan opened his eyes and saw a small blue vein running down her neck. He felt his body throb and he fought every urge running through him. Then, Tristan realized something. He couldn't hear her heart beat. Somewhere inside him, a alarm went off and he slowly loosened his grip on her. The girl didn't even notice and she continued dancing. Tristan stepped back and watched her as he began to leave the room. She still stayed there, in the center of the room, and danced. Turning his back on her, he walked out , into the hallway. "Tristan!" The girl from the kitchen beamed and ran at him. "Oh, hey." He casually greeted, glancing back at the chick in the dance crowd. "Where did you go?" She practically whined, "I missed you!" "You dont even know me..." He bluntly answered, gently pushing her away. The girl glared and threw her hands up, "Well, fuck you then!" She brushed past him and found a new victim.
"6 a.m christmas morning...the shadows.. no reflections here..." Marilyn Mansons voice flowed from the speakers. Tristan watched the girl in the center of the room. She looked over at him, just realizing he was no longer behind her. "If I was your vampireee...." Marilyn continued to sing. She winked at him and motioned for him to come back. Tristan resisted and looked away, forcing himself to leave. This time, he went right for the front door and the cold, night air hit him as he walked outside. "I know I'm ready..." He heard the music from inside. A pain shot through his body and Tristan lurched forward, catching himself on a tree. "Hey, you okay?" A fellow student asked, walking over and grabbing Tristan. Tristan was growing weak - real fast. He heard the male's heart beat and his fangs extended. "Get away from me..." Tristan muttered, hiding his face. "Alright..." The guy backed off and went back inside. Tristan pushed off of the tree and walked a few feet before he collapsed. A few girls gasped and ran over. 'What is with you people?' He thought to himself. "Oh my god, are you okay?!" One of the valley girls gasped, her bleached hair falling on his face as she knelt down. "I need to go home..." He panted, his eyes rolling back as he began to feel faint. "Okay.. who did you come with?" The girl asked. "It doesnt matter..." He grumbled, forcing himself up again. "I dont think you should walk, you don't look so good." The girl frowned. Tristan sighed, "You have no idea..." He turned and walked slower this time, heading down the sidewalk. He heard heels behind him and paused. "I'll walk you." The girl's friend offered , wrapping one arm around him. Tristan rolled his eyes, "I'll be fine." "You boys are so stubborn.. just admit for once, you need help." She argued. He remained silent and continued walking, with her helping him.
Tristan fell again, this time real hard. He laid in the grass, feeling every inch of his body in agonizing pain. "Maybe we should've had someone take you to the hospital." She sighed, a sense of worry in her eyes. Tristan sighed, "I'm just... hungry..." "Did you drink on a empty stomach?" She asked, looking at him like he was the worlds biggest dumbass. Tristan didn't know what to say so he nodded. She rolled her eyes, "There's your problem... as soon as you get home, eat something and drink plenty of water." He nodded, "Thanks." She pulled him up and he fell into her, pushing her against a tree. Tristan sighed, his face in the depth of her bare neck. He felt her shiver, feeling his breath on her skin. This, triggered a response in his body as well. No longer resisting, Tristan forcefully pushed her against the tree, holding her waist and kissing her neck. The girl gasped and tilted her head, further back, opening it to him. Tristan smiled inside, knowing she wanted him. He licked along her collar bone and trailed up her neck. A soft moan escaped the girls lips and both of them shivered. Tristan nipped at her skin, causing goosebumps on her arms. His eyes started to glow, his fangs extended and he focused on her heart beat. "Bite me..." She whispered, not knowing what she was actually asking for. Tristan grinned and opened his mouth. Just as he was about to pierce her skin, he realized what was happening and pushed off the tree, moving away from her. "Wait.. what?" She asked, looking at him. Tristan quickly turned and attempted at jogging. When he realized the adrenaline he had, he broke off into a sprint and ran as fast as he could, far away from any mortal.
