"You're not joining the army again are you?" His mom asked as he packed his duffle bag. Logan shook his head, "No mah' as much as I liked the army, I'm not going back." She sighed, "Good." He looked over at her, "Why does it matter anyways? While I was gone, you smoked the whole time and shared your bed with a grease pig named Hugh." "Don't talk to me that way, I'm your mother." She coldly snapped. Logan nodded, picking up his bag, "Really? Start acting like it." He kissed her cheek, "Bye mah'." She smacked him across the face, "Don't come back." Logan stood straight, slightly nodded and left.
Rene took a drink from her coffee and smiled at Britney's little girl, Tabitha. She slowly chewed a french toast stick. "Tabitha being good?" Britney asked, tiredly entering the kitchen. Rene slightly nodded, " Oh yeah, she's so cute too." Britney ran her hand over Tabitha's soft curls. "Where's Mitch?" Rene asked, looking up at Britney. She shrugged, " He had to go to work." "So, when do you sadly have to leave us?" Britney asked, sitting across from her. Rene sighed, " This afternoon, I figure I won't be missed much at home so I won't go back right away." "I thought you mentioned a guy in your life?" Britney asked, pouring herself some coffee. Rene shrugged, "I think Thomas is more in love with my parents than he is with me..." "What a kiss ass.." Britney laughed then covered her mouth, looking at Tabitha, "Mommy didn't say ass." Tabitha giggled, "Yes you did." Rene smiled and took a bite of her toast.
Logan entered the bar and sat on the stool, "Hey Pete, I figured I would come in and say hello. I'm going to be leaving soon." Pete frowned, "So soon?" Logan laughed, "I've been here for atleast four days Pete." Pete slightly nodded, "What do you do back home?" Logan thought of the lyrics he's been writing. He sighed, "I'm a musician. I write lyrics." "Do you sing too?" Pete asked, pouring Logan a cup of coffee. "Thanks," Logan muttered, "Yeah, I'm going to start a band with my friend Brody. He's going to play guitar." "Acoustic?" Pete asked. Logan nodded, "Yeah, I think so." "Good for you." Pete complimented, pouring himself some coffee. Logan nodded again, "I hope so. I'm writing a song right now, it's called 'No Other Love'" "Do you have it with you?" Pete asked, leaning on the counter. Logan slightly nodded, "It's in my car, would you like to see it?" Pete smiled, "Sure." Logan knocked on the counter, " Okay, be right back." He slid off the stool and walked out real quick.
"So, did Thomas get you that ring?" Britney asked, eyeing the ring around Rene's neck. Rene grasped the ring in her hand and sighed, "No, this is from Logan... he gave it to me before I left..." Britney frowned, "Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up a sore subject..." Rene shrugged, "Have to talk about it sometime..." Britney slightly nodded, gathering the dirty dishes. Rene rubbed her finger along the ring, she tucked it back inside her shirt and rested her head on her hand.
Logan watched Pete's face as he read the lyrics. "It's very nice," Pete muttered, "Even though the lyrics repeat, you can realy understand what you're saying.. it's very deep. You've already found the love of your life and no other woman will be able to fill that hole.. correct?" Logan slightly nodded, " Exactly. Only one problem." Pete looked up, "What's that?" "No other woman can fill that hole because I won't let them." Pete smiled, "That's what love is son..." Logan sighed, "Six years later I come back and I see her everywhere but she can't possibly be here because she's in Michigan." Pete cleared his throat, "The reunion was last night Logan... what if she was here?" Logan frowned, "Then I have really bad luck... and now that I think about it, she shouldn't have left if she loved me so much... so I think it's time to let go." Pete frowned, "Yes... but, can you do that?"
