      Taking a day off from school, Logan and Hailey sat by her pool. The water reflected off their skin and sunglasses. "So..." Logan broke the silence, "How did you sleep?" Rene shrugged, "Good except for everytime I heard the slightest sound, my whole body tensed up and I reached for the bat I placed at the side of my bed..." He slightly nodded, "You can defend yourself, you've done it before.." "I didn't do it that night though, did I?" She interupted him. Logan could hear the anger in her voice. "He had you against the wall Rene, I hate to say it but guy's are naturally stronger than girls especially if they really want something..." Rene slightly laughed, "Well, he really wanted it then didn't he?" He sighed and shook his head, "Why else does a guy rape a female?" "Men rape whoever they know is helpless...children, their wives... men are cowards." Rene muttered. Logan remained silent and looked around. "Not you though," She added, looking at him, "You would never do that to me or any other girl... I know that." "Doesn't mean I'm not a coward..." He laughed, "I told you I had a girlfriend, when I didn't which almost cost me a friendship and then I never told you how I felt from the start." Rene sighed, "People get scared Logan, it's normal... don't beat yourself up about being human." He nodded and then caught glimpse of her wrists. The brusies looked black against her tan skin. Rene saw him staring and tucked her hands underneath her legs. "Sorry..." He muttered, looking back at the pool. She shrugged, "I should get used to it now before we go back to school." "You don't have to go back you know..." Logan comforted, "We'll both drop out and continue our Senior year next year." Rene laughed, "You would do that for me wouldn't you?" He nodded, leaning over and kissing her temple, "Anything for you." She sighed and laid back into his embrace, "Don't ever change... or I'll have to kill you." He laughed and nodded, "I won't. Promise." Rene tilted her head back, looking at Logan upside down. He smiled, caressed her cheek then kissed her.

    Danny rubbed his head as his lawyer argued with Rene's lawyer. Her parents sat far across the table, staring coldly at him. He glanced at the handcuffs attaching him to the cold table then he looked back at her parents. "Got a staring problem?" He grumbled. Rene's dad rolled his eyes, "Shut up you little punk." "Your daughter's new boyfriend's the punk... broke my nose!" Danny snapped. "Looks like he got you in the eye too." Rene's mom smiled with pride, "Good for him." "Too bad it wasn't our house, he would've found the kitchen knives too." Mr. Watson added. They both slightly laughed. Rene's mom sighed, "Oh but it takes a true coward to take a innocent girl to his house and not to hers because her parents are home..."  The lawyers paused and looked at both clients, "Are you harassing eachother?" Rene's parents shrugged, "There's nothing wrong with having conversation." "Why would a parent want to speak to the suspect in question in their daughter's rape case?" Danny's lawyer asked, eyeing them curiously. "Don't answer that." Their lawyer ordered then looked back at Danny's lawyer, "Don't you dare try to bait them." Danny's lawyer shrugged, "It was just a question..." "Alright, shut up... we were just talking." Danny muttered, rolling his eyes. "How do you sleep at night knowing what you did?" Rene's dad asked, leaning across the table. "That's enough!" Rene's lawyer warned. Danny smirked and leaned over, "I sleep even better knowing she slept with me the night before in her own bed and oooh was she good in bed even better when she was fighting me against the wall."  Mrs. Watson gasped and covered her mouth. Mr. Watson punched Danny across the face and started strangling him. "Security!" Both lawyer's yelled , pulling Mr. Watson off of Danny.

    Logan noticed Rene wasn't talking, she must have fallen asleep. She's been tired a lot lately. "Rene..." He whispered, "I want to take you somewhere."  She hummed, then stretched, "Where?" Logan lightly bit her ear sending chills down her spine, "How would you like to go on a trip?" Rene sat up now, turned to face him and she smiled, "A trip? Where?"  He shrugged, "Where would you like to go?"  She did this cute little head tilt when she was thinking. Logan couldn't help but smile. He, of course, kept his hands on the ground the whole time. Rene crinkled her nose, causing Logan to laugh. She smiled,"I don't know... maybe we should figure it out as we go." "Like..  a trip to nowhere? With pit stops on the way?"  He asked, raising an eyebrow. Rene noddded , "Uhuh." Logan twirled his lip ring with his tongue as he tilted his head back and started thinking. She shook her head and laughed. He slightly nodded, "Sounds like a plan to me." Rene rose and gasped, "Seriously?" Logan slightly laughed, "Yeah." He rose and wrapped his arms around her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck and intentionally let all her weight fall back. Logan leaned over with her and pulled her back up, "I'll never let you fall Rene, not when you're with me." She smiled and kissed him, "And when I'm not with you?" "Who else would you fall head over heels in love with?" He asked, smirking. Rene laughed and playfully pushed him, "Smartass." "I would rather be a smartass than a dumbass." Logan winked. She laughed again and shook her head.

   "Mr. Watson, I hope you're happy... now we have to wait here to find out if Danny's pressing charges on you or not." Rene's lawyer snapped. Mr. Watson smiled, " Actually I am happy, because now he has another black eye and each of them are both from true gentleman that love Rene." Mrs. Watson shook her head and rolled her eyes.

  "What should I bring?" Rene asked, sunglasses sitting on the top of her head as she searched through her dresser droors. Logan walked in and leaned against the wall, "I don't know. We could always get you some new clothes?" She looked back at him, "Hmm... and I can even model them for you." He smiled, "Even better." Rene laughed, "Alright, let's go."

    Danny's lawyer entered the room and glanced at Mr. Watson. "Well gentleman, Mrs. Watson... Danny has actually decided to press charges against both of you." "I didn't do anything!" Mrs. Watson gasped. Danny's lawyer shook his head, "No, both of you as in Mr. Logan Pierce and Mr. Watson."  Mrs. Watson sighed, "Well look where violence got both the gentleman that love Rene..." She looked over at her husband, "You happy now?"
