Rene saw Logan enter the classroom and she looked away. He walked past and dropped a folded piece of paper on her desk. She quickly grabbed it before anyone could see and she opened it. It said 'Hey. Library -same time.' Rene glanced back at him then put the note in her pocket. Danny entered the room and sat behind her, "Hey beautiful." She smiled, "Hey." "We hanging out after practice today?" He asked. She thought for a moment, "Sure. You want to go swimming? My parent's wont be home so they can't harass me and make you feel awkward." Danny smiled, "Awesome, I'll stop by." She nodded and turned to face the front of the classroom.

 When class was over, Danny rose and picked up her books. He smiled, "Lead the way." She shrugged, picked up her backpack and left the classroom. "So, I'll meet you after this class and walk you to lunch?" He asked, smiling down at her. Rene laughed, "You act like it's so much fun..." "I get to walk around with the most beautiful girl in the school.... yeah, thats what I call fun." He explained.  Rene blushed, remained quiet and continued walking. When they arrived at her next class, he leaned to kiss her cheek and she accidently turned into it so they ended up kissing.  Rene pulled away and laughed. Danny smiled, "Sorry." She waved her hand "My fault.." She smiled and backed into her classroom. He laughed and walked away.

 Logan entered the library and walked behind the desk. "Is that you Logan?" The old lady asked, coming out of the small office. He nodded, "Yes Gretta, it's me." He punched in a few numbers and signed into the computer. "Anybody come  in yet?" She asked, looking around. He shook his head, "Not yet." The door opened and Rene walked in. "She comes in often now." Gretta winked, then waved. Logan laughed and shook his head. "Hey." Rene greeted, "I came as soon as I could." "In other words, you had to walk the opposite way of Danny?" He asked. She shook her head, "No, I told him I was going to come here." "Yeah, and for a book.. right?" Logan asked, handing her a James Patterson book. "Your point?" She asked, taking the book. "My point is... he's already dictating who you talk to because you're making up excuses rather than telling him you came here to see me." Logan explained, signing the book out to her. Rene shook her head, "You're wrong, I can talk to whoever I want. I just don't want him to get the wrong idea." Logan shook his head, "That's bullshit, you don't want him to see you talking to me because it's against the rules." "What rules?" She asked, crossing her arms. He sighed, "You're what they consider 'prep' and Im what they consider 'punk, goth or emo' ... we're defying the stereotypes just by talking.." "Do you actually hear yourself?" Rene laughed. Logan shrugged, "Have you seen yourself?" She laughed, "Yes, don't I look cute today?" She slowly turned, showing off her white hollister shirt, long brown hair and tight blue jeans with slits above the knees. Logan laughed, "Whatever, you better get going." Rene nodded, "I'll see you around Logan." She turned and left. "Nice girl..." Gretta smiled. He nodded, "Yeah, she is..."

 Rene entered the lunchroom and sat next to Danny, "Hey." "Got your book?" He asked, taking a drink of his water. She nodded and sat the James Patterson book down. "You read books?" James asked, looking over at the book. Danny nodded, "Yeah, isn't that hot?" Rene laughed and shook her head. She leaned over and stole one of Danny's french fries. "Aww they're stealing eachother's food already, you two are so cute!" Brittany exclaimed from across the table. Rene forgot there were any other girls there because they never talk. Brittany just happened to take a break from applying mascara. James smiled, "All I know is I wished I had a girlfriend as cute as Rene." Danny laughed, "Good luck." Rene smiled, "Thanks James, you're cute too." James gasped, "Did you hear that, she thinks Im cute!" Danny nodded, "Yeah but I'm fortunate enough to go swimming with her later.. that means we'll be in our bathing suits.." James laughed, "Lucky bastard." Danny looked back at Rene, "I am."

 Another day at the highschool was finally over and Rene was more than ready to go home. She exited the school and saw Logan getting into a car. "Hey!" She waved. He paused and stood straight, "Hey... what are you doing?" "I'm going to ask you to give me a lift home and we're going to talk the whole way there." She smiled. "Really?" He asked, "Alrighty then, hop in." Rene got in and shut the door. "Usually I would open the door for you but you were already there..." He explained, starting the ignition. She shrugged, "It's fine." Then a thought occured to her, Danny never opened the door for her.
 
 "So, you really think we're defying the stereotype?" She asked, looking over at Logan. He twirled his lip ring around with is tongue then laughed, "We're going to hell for sure." They both laughed. "This it?" He asked, pulling up to her house. She nodded, "Thanks for the ride.. I hope I wasn't imposing but it's so hot out and I didn't want to walk." He smiled, "It's fine. Have a good day Ray..." 'Ray? He's giving me a nickname?' She thought to herself. "You too Logan." She smiled, waved, then got out of his car. He beeped his horn before driving away. Rene walked up to her house and put the key in the door. She pushed it open and entered the air conditoned home.

 Logan looked at the house in his rearview mirror as it became smaller and smaller. He smiled to himself. He now believes in love at first sight.
