Danny pulled up infront of Rene's house and whistled, "Nice crib, you rich?" She sighed, "I guess you could say that..." He smiled, "That's okay, half of our school is rich." "And the other half?" Rene asked, looking around. "They live in the suburbs halfway across town..." Danny explained, turning off the ignition. "What are you doing?" She asked, eyeing the keys. He shrugged, "You wanna hang out for a bit? Give me a tour of your crib." Rene shrugged, "If you insist on seeing it." Danny opened his door, "Cool, let's go." She rolled her eyes, got out and shut the door. "So, parents home?" He asked, jogging to catch up. "No, what's with all the questions?" Rene asked, sounding annoyed. Danny held up his hands in defence, "Sorry, I was just wondering..." He jokingly pushed her, "Maybe I wanted to 'meet the parents'." "Why? We're not dating." She muttered, inserting her key into the front door. "Ouch, you don't hesitate to put a guy in his place do you?" He laughed. Rene shot him a mean glare then opened the door. She walked in, and waited for Danny to come inside then she shut the door. "If you didn't want me to come in, that's all you had to say..." Danny muttered, looking around. She shrugged, dropping her stuff in the hallway, "I don't mind." Danny paused for a second and watched Rene walk into the kitchen with her short blue plaid skirt and white polo. He snapped out of it and followed her. "Thirsty?" She asked, opening the fridge. He shook his head, "No thanks." "There's the pool, patio and hot tub.." She explained, pointing outside, "And downstairs, you'll find a pool table, air hockey table, big screen tv and a bar." "Does it come with a pole?" Danny smiled, eyeing her. Rene smiled and shook her head, "You wish." "Would you hate me if I said I did?" He grinned.
Logan entered his house and shut the door. Cigarette smoke filled the air and he walked past the kitchen, "Hey mah." "How was school?" His mom asked, watching him walk past. "Fine." He bluntly muttered then entered his bedroom. She shrugged and continued reading the newspaper with a cigarette in one hand. Logan sat his stuff down and laid back on his bed. He sighed and looked around at all the posters covering his walls. There was a slipknot poster, Avenged Sevenfold poster, Korn poster, Green Day poster, Disturbed poster and a bunch of Incubus posters. Logan played with his eyebrow piercing while slowly moving his 'snake bite' lip piercing with his tongue. He glanced in the mirror and moved his hair from his face. "When are you going to let me cut your hair?" His mom smiled from the doorway, "I can't see your beautiful bluish green eyes anymore." He shrugged, "You can cut it now if you want, I'm a little sick of it being in my face anyways..." His mom gasped as if hell froze over, "Well, step into my office then." Logan laughed, "Your office consist of a toilet and a crappy sink..." "Hey..." She playfully hit him in his chest, "I told you I was going to get that fixed." He nodded, "Yeah, that was how long ago?" They both laughed.
Rene's parents walked out onto the patio, "Rene?" Rene looked over and waved. "Who's your friend?" Her mom asked, smiling. Danny rose, walked over and held out his hand, "I'm Danny, one of her classmates." "That must be your car out front." Rene's dad nodded. Danny nodded, "Yes sir, that's my car." "Rene doesn't have a car thats why we were wondering who was here.." Her mom explained. "Rene doesn't have a car because you don't want me to have my freedom." Rene bitterly snapped. Her mom and dad stared at her. Danny laughed, "Well, it just got awkward, I think I'm going to go..." "No, please stay... maybe you can teach Rene some manners." Her mom faked a smile, turned and returned to the house. Her dad shook his head and followed his wife inside. Danny looked at Rene who was glaring into the pool water. He frowned, "You okay?" She nodded, "Fine." "Teenagers never get along with their parents..." Danny slightly laughed. Rene looked over at him, " I've never gotten along with mine....I hate my dad and now my mom's turned into this money hungry whore so I hate her too.." Danny stared blankly then he nodded. "I think you should go." Rene sighed, standing up. Danny rose and looked down at her, "You sure? I can stick around... maybe teach your mom some manners?" Rene laughed , "I think I'm just going to go lay down..." He nodded, "Alrighty then, I'll see you in school tommorow." He kissed her cheek, turned and left. Rene watched him leave then she felt her cheek.
Logan admired the new hair in the mirror and nodded, "I like it." His mom smiled, "Good, because you look good." He laughed, "Did I look that bad before?" "No, I just couldn't see your beautiful eyes." She kissed his cheek, turned and left the bathroom. He brushed remaining hair off his pants and re-entered the hallway. The loud knock came at the door and Logan walked over. He opened the door and stared at a tall, muscular guy who was in his mid-40's. The man looked him up and down. Logan raised an eyebrow, "Can I help you?" "Is your mother home?" The guy asked, breath smelled of beer. Logan grimaced then looked back, "Mom? Some..thing's here to see you." The guy glared at Logan then smiled when he saw Logan's mom come into view. "Hey beautiful.." He greeted. Logan looked back at the guy then at his mom, "You know him?" She nodded, "He's a friend from work... his name is Hugh." "Well a friend is all he's ever going to be." Logan shot Hugh a warning glance then left the doorway. "Sorry." His mom smiled. "That's alright Betty, I understand teenagers." Hugh laughed. Logan rolled his eyes and slammed his bedroom door. Great, just when everything was getting better... his mom get's another loser boyfriend.
