   Rene entered her new classroom and sat at a desk. She heard a couple whistles and rolled her eyes. "Hey Sweet thang," A gelled hair jock called out,"Where did you come from?" Rene looked back at him, "Transferred from Michigan." He sat back, "Well you're a long way from home arent you?" She nodded, "Yeah, I'd say so." "What's your name?" He asked, leaning towards her. "Rene, and you?" She raised an eyebrow. "I'm Danny, these are my friends James and Ronny.." He explained. Rene slightly nodded, "Cool." "Pretty girl like you, you'll make friends real quick.Dont worry." "I'm not worried." She shrugged. Danny smiled, "Alright..that's cool I like a confident girl." Rene shook her head and slightly laughed. A tall, dark shaggy haired male with wristbands on his arms , chains hanging from his pants walked in. He found a desk and sat down. A small cross was tattooed on his middle finger. Rene looked him up and down then looked back at Danny. Danny and his friends were whispering and laughing at the other guy. "What's so funny?" Rene asked, glancing back at the anonymous teen. Danny cleared his throat and leaned even closer to her that she could smell his cologne. "That kid's crazy, he's into that voodoo shit..they say he went to the psych ward five times before they put him on medication..." He whispered. She looked back again and saw him looking at her. She immediatly looked back at Danny, "Really?..thats..wierd." "Wierd?"Danny repeated, "Thats fucking nuts.. but you don't have to worry Rene, we'll keep you safe.. he won't hurt you." The teacher, Mr.Hugh, entered the room and put his suitcase on his desk. "Allright kids, let's get started." He announced, putting his coffee down.

 The bell rang and Rene started gathering her things. A shadow casted over her as the "psycho" walked by. She looked up and watched as he left the classroom. Danny nudged her arm, "Let me walk you to class." She nodded and rose. He took her books and his friends exchanged grins. Danny held out his hand, "Lead the way." "Funny," Rene sarcastically laughed, "You know I don't know where I'm going.." "You do know how to get into the hallway from here don't you?" Danny asked, winking. She smiled and nodded, "I think so." She walked past him and him and his friends glanced at her ass before walking. "So," Danny looked down at her, "You like this school so far?" Rene shrugged,"I havent seen much to judge.." He nodded,"That's understandable.. when do you have lunch?" She looked at her schedule, "After my third hour." "Cool, so I'll meet you after class and you can sit with me and my friends at lunch."Danny offered. Rene slightly nodded, "Okay."

 After third hour, Danny was outside of Rene's classroom like he said. She couldnt help but smile as he watched for her. "Hey beautiful." Danny smiled, "Ready to go?" Rene silently nodded and walked beside him. "So," She spoke up, "If you're such a sweet talker, how come you don't have a girlfriend?" He shrugged, "We broke up over the summer... too much drama, cheerleader...do the math." Rene laughed,"Say no more, I was a cheerleader once..." "Really?" Danny asked, "You going to join the squad this year and cheer me on?" "You're a football player?" She asked, sarcastically gasping. He chuckled,"You're cute, I'll give ya that much." "Thanks, I think." Rene smiled. She followed him into the loud cafeteria. He grabbed her hand which made her slightly blush and he led her through the croweded lunchroom. She glanced at the other student who were staring at her. Rene leaned closer to Danny,"Why are they staring at me?" "Because I'm holding your hand.." He slightly laughed, "I don't know... they're jealous of you're lovely brown locks?" Rene's brown hair hung infront of her face, she brushed it aside so she could see. "Danny!" James exclaimed, "Over here." Danny moved around a few people and stopped at a round table where guys sat down looking handsome and the girls stared into their compact mirrors. "Guys, you remember Rene from first hour." Danny sighed, sitting down. Rene sat down next to him and gave them a friendly smile. "How could we forget, she has the nicest ass around here." James laughed. Rene shot him a glare and Danny rolled his eyes. "Don't listen to him..." Danny soflty muttered. Rene shrugged, "I won't.Ever."

 The final bell rang announcing the end of the day and Rene pulled her bag over her shoulder. She looked up to see a paper announcing cheerleader tryouts. After a minute or so staring at it, she grabbed her books and left the classroom.

 The hallway was more crowded then during passing periods, you would think random people entered the school when the day was over. Rene found her way to room 213 and walked in. She was immediatly greeted by a pretty young teacher named Ms.Young. "Hello, are you here to discuss cheerleading tryouts?" Ms. Young asked. Rene nodded, "Yeah." "Have a seat." Ms. Young smiled and held her hand out towards the many desks lined up. Rene walked over and sat at a random desk and looked around the room. "Rene right?" A girl swiveled around in her chair. "Yeah, do I know you?" Rene politely asked. The girl shook her head, "Probably not. We weren't really introduced while I was hiding behind my compact and Danny was talking to all his meathead friends." Rene laughed, "Oh, yeah. Well I'm Rene." The girl held out her hand, "Brittany." They shook hands and Brittany sighed,"So, have you ever been on a cheerleading squad before?" Rene nodded, "Yeah I was co-captain at my old school but I transferred over here when we moved.." "where ya from?" Brittany asked, glancing at her reflection off the window. "Michigan."Rene stated, as if it were rehearsed. "Dang, you're a long way from home.. what brings you to Florida?" Brittany asked. Rene shrugged, "My dad's company wanted to send him here to further the buisness." Brittany nodded, "I see." "Any more questions?" Rene asked, faking a smile. Brittany laughed,"I can take a hint... sorry for the investigation." "Sorry,"Rene sighed,"I've been answering questions all day, that's all." Brittany shrugged and turned to talked to other girls. Rene looked back at Ms.Young who shut the door. "Okay ladies, let's talk about this cheerleading season." She began.

 After a long hour of discussing try-out dates, routines and a uniform policy that they weren't even going to follow, the girls were finally dismissed. Rene walked over to a bench and sat her bag down. She put all the papers from Ms.Young away. "Rene," Danny greeted, "What are you still doing here?" "Cheerleading discussion, and you?" She asked. "Football."He smiled, "So you're going to actually join huh?" Rene slightly nodded and pulled her bag over her shoulder. "You need a ride?"Danny asked, "My car's right over there..." Rene smiled, "Can I ask why you're being so nice to me?" He slightly laughed, "I'm sorry, am I coming on too strong? I just thought I would be nice and help out the new girl." She nodded, "You're doing a good job but don't you have other things to do?" Danny shrugged, "Like what? I went to all my classes, went to football, all my other friends are busy with drugs and girlfriends..." "And you dont do drugs or have a girlfriend?"Rene teased. He smiled,"Well... let's just say I dont have any plans today.. and we already talked about the girlfriend thing...done interogating me now?" She laughed, "Sorry." "So, how about that ride?" He asked. Rene nodded, "Okay, lead the way." Danny nodded and started walking towards the student parking lot.
