[Suicide] PART 3

Drama Created on 12-2-07 Views(116) Story Rating G

His answer was stern, and his face tense. "Aaron." He almost hissed in my ear, and I shuttered. "Yours?" Aaron asked in return. I tilted my head, "Meggie." I turned my head away. He was trying to look into my eyes! I knew that he wasn't going to read my mind or anything, but when your as shy as a rabbit, it feels like it. I felt a cold pang on my shoulder. It was his hand, resting on it. "Calm down...Meggie." It seemed as if he eaither couldn't remember my name or he was having so much resentment toward me, it was hard to even speak my name. I thought. No, he couldn't hate me with just knowing my name, could he?

"Ok...Okay..." I said hoarsly. Aaron moved his hand so it was pressing my back against the lether. "Nothin's gonna get you on this bus. Believe me. No one even sees this thing." Nothin' but you. I thought to myself. "No one sees this?" I perked. He shook his black locks. "Nope. I have seen tons o' people looking straight at it and they just act as if nothin's there." I pushed some hair out of my face and raised my eyebrow. "No one?" I asked. I knew by the way I said it, it sounded like I didn't believe him. Which, I sort of didn't. I was after all, 99% sure this was a dream, no matter what this kid said. "Yeah. Don't even hear our voices. The Big Man up there said so. I tried shouting to a few." I looked to the "Big Man" at the front, "Oh, don't worry, he don't bite eaither. Doesn't even pay any attention." I looked back to Aaron. "Oh." Was all I could say.

"You a cutter Meggie?" Aaron asked after a few moments of silence. Sad that it was broken, but happy that I wasn't being ignored, I shook my head. "No, what makes you think that?" I was a little shocked by the question. You just don't go around asking people those kinds of things. But, Aaron was different I suppose. A little of this, a little of that. "Just asking. I mean, it seems if you're on this bus, and your gonna comitt suicide, I thought it'd be' suitable or somethin'." He did something that shocked me. Removed one side of his shirt, and positioned his arm to show all the little scars that ran up like train-tracks. The cutters at my school, they'd NEVER do a thing like that, if someone threatened to shoot. "Aaron the cutter." He announced. I was still pretty amazed by the amount when I looked up. "Why?"

That was one of the stupidest things I could have asked. But I didn't take it back. If he could be nosy, so could I. "Cause, just the way I am." Well, he sure was secretive. Just when I want to get information out of this boy, he doesn't bother to help. "Wait." Something hit me. "Suicide? Who said I was gonna committ suicide?" Aaron smiled a little. One of those creepy smiles that makes your spine tingle. "Yeh, this bus is supposed to help ya self in the future. The only way I know this is from askin' the man up there. He only answers every once in a while though. I've been on here a really long time Meggie." So, I was on this bus, because of the future? The thought of that made my head spin. Why would I want too? My life was fine! "What? Do you know how you die?" I asked. He shook his head. Blue and clear, his eyes opened again, "Nah, I've been asking him up there, but he won't answer anythin' about that sort of stuff." When he rolled his eyes he began to button up his shirt again. "Stupid bus, so cold..."

He was right, I could see my own breath. But there was this looming feeling like we were going to meet our deaths. Then I reliezed after I thought that, we were.

Aaron sighed and leaned farther in his seat. His breath was creeping from his mouth. "It feels like I've been on this bus for days." I was still a bit shy, and all I could really do was nodd. "You really don't talk much. I don't eaither, but you are like, way over the edge of quiet." I turned my head. I was, and I don't know how he could ever just talk to someone like me. After a second he reliezed that he couldn't get me to talk all that much, and he turned back to the window. So I sat in silence, just thinking how this HAD to be a dream. He couldn't REALLY be talking to me. He couldn't really be real. Nothing seemed to be reality. Nothing seemed to fit. I couldn't be going into the future, and seeing myself. This boy was eaither lying, or I was going crazy.

"Damn!" I felt a warm sensation on my arm. Without knowing it, a warm red liquid had run down my arm. I went into shock for a moment, when Aaron threw himself away from me. "What the hell happened?" He asked. I didn't know he was talking to me for a moment. "I don't...know..." There was no cut, nothing. Just blood running down my arm. "Ick, looks like it hurts..." He muttered. I sat there for a second, it didn't hurt. Just felt like blood running down my arm. I put my hand over it, and looked over to Aaron. He had some on his sleeve, from where it may have been leaning on my arm.

Aaron must have been really brave, because he took his hand and rubbed it against my arm where it was bleeding. I could feel my eyes popping out of my head. I know that no one at my school, even my family would do that. He rubbed it between his pointer and thumb, and looked me straight in the eye. "Move your hand." he seemed to order. I moved it immediatly, and the blood just kept coming. Around my arm it curled like burning paper. But it was coming from no where. "You said you didn't cut yourself." Aaron retorted. I shook my head violently. "I don't!" Looking at his hand, and opening it to where his palm was out-stretched, I saw another scar. It looked a bit deeper than the rest. My blood, (or whoesever it was) fell onto the scar like it was a moat. I watched for a second. Then, it was gone. The blood, everything. His eyes were as wide as mine. "What the hell..." Aaron said. We both looked to my arm in unison. Even the blood on my arm, was gone.
