Silent Tears like liquid diamonds stream down my face-
The sliver of pale moonlight shines down upon me through the window-
I am contained...
The cement walls of a jail-cell are cold and unforgiving-
But the walls are nothing compared to the wicked faces and leering eyes-
Always looking...
My heart aches, filled with the sadness and suffering I have had to endure these last few days-
But...I must be strong.
I must fight to break free of their hold upon me-
He is waiting for me to break, but I will not-
I shall never surrender my soul to him...
He sits just outside
Always there, always listening.
I silently crumble within myself
"Why is he doing this to me?"
Lies. They surround me.
All those empty promises,
Never to be seen again.
The wail of a rusty hinge
A sudden movement
I lift my head from the resting place that is my knees
"What do you want"
A sneer is all I get in return for my impudence
I know why he is here
He also knows this
His eyes, once warm like the ocean, are now as cold as ice
"Are you ready to come out Thorn?
Or would you rather keep your public waiting?
They are getting uneasy."
Rage consumes me
Who is this cruel heartless man I once loved
Love.
What a silly and childish notion
Never again
