"Tristen! Tristen!"

Tristen heard his name being called for. But he just kept running threw the woods. He didn't care anymore. He want to get out of there. He wanted nothing to do with his family.

Tristen was a 17 year old country boy. His life was always messed up. So tonight was the night he was going to start over new. But little did he know. He was making the biggest mistake if his life.

Earlier That Day

"Tristen, dinner's ready." His mother yelled threw the house from the kitchen.
He left his room and went to the kitchen to see his mother fixing his plate for him.

"Are you hungry?" His mother asked him.

Tristen just looked at her then walked over to the table and sat down.
"Tristen, are you okay?" His mother asked him. "Yea." He answered.

"Well, you don't act like it." She said while walking over to the table and setting his plate down in front if him then putting her hand on his forehead to check for a temperater. "You're not sick. Are you sure you're okay?" His mother asked again.

"Ma, I'm fine." Tristen said then started eating his dinner.
"Okay. Can you blame a mother for being a little curious about her son?"

"I'm sorry, I guess, I'm just not in a good mood." He said.

"Well, I guess that's not your fault. I know how hard it is being a teenager. I know how hard your father has been on you, making you work out in that hot sun everyday on the field too. I know, it's not easy." His mother said.

"Yea? How do you know?" Tristen asked her.

"Because I was once a teenager.." She started

"Yea, but you didn't have to go out in the feilds and do all that hard work." He interupted.

"No, but I had to make dinner and clean and do so much other stuff because my mother died when I was just a little girl. Some days, I just felt like giving up on my family and running away from everything I had, everyone I knew. The things I loved. But I didn't, I always pulled myself together at the end of the day, and it all was better. Now I realize that if I would have left, I would have never had you and your little sister." She finished.

"What about dad?" Tristen asked.

She looked at him for a few minutes. "Your father, he's something I wouldn't have looked back on. Even though we aren't together anymore, doesn't meen we aren't all a happy family."

Tristen stopped eating and said, "I'm full." Then walked away from the table.

His mother watched him walk away, wondering why he did.

Tristen went to his room and changed his clothes. Then he quickly got out of the house and headed for his truck.

He got in and slammed his door shut. He put his hands on the wheel and sat there staring threw the wind sheld glass. He leaned over and opened the glove department and took his keys out and started the truck up. He sat there for a little longer than started driving, he drove down a dirt road, then finally reached the main road.

After driving almost 2 miles, he pulled over and the car came to a stop. He got out and slammed the door as hard as he could. He walked into the weeds and then down a hill, he eventually came to a field, he walked threw it then stopped after a while. He looked up at the sky it was a little cloudy. He sat down on the grass.

Then he heard a scream, it sounded like a girl. He turned around and saw a girl running from the woods. She was screaming and she looked like she was crying. Tristen stood up. Then he saw a guy running after her and yelling, "Come back here!"

Tristen started walking towards the girl.
