After about two weeks the little boy's dad was released from jail. The boy and his mother fought for a restraining order to keep his dad away. Well it worked and the little boy thought he was safe from harm. Two years later, his dad took his mom to court and won the right to see him every 1st and 3rd weekend. At first the boy's dad was doing real good. He had quit beating the boy, and quit drinking. The little boy thought maybe his dad had actually changed. About a year after he started visiting his dad again, the little boy started coming home with bruises running all over his body again. The little boy had been hurt so bad by his dad that he had nightmares everynight of being beat nearly to death.

The little boy got tired of it and tried to get away from his dad. He quit answering the phone when his dad called, and when he saw his dad, he hid so his dad wouldn't see him. Again his mom and his dad went to court, this time to determine if the little boy ever had to see his dad again.
