" a hundred bucks ehh?" I said questioningly " whats the catch?"

"hold on let me think about this" lindsay putting a finger to her chin while scrunching her face together and looking up at the ceiling thoughtfully like this was rocket science or something.

"tay don't you wanna think about this before you regret it?" bridgette said looking at me with a serious expression.

"okay I've got it!" exclaimed lindsay "you have two months to do this and when two months is up well go to a gynecologist and get the verdict" her smile seemed spiteful but then innocent as well.

" done" I said,god these girls are dumb they seem to forget-

" one other thing" cat interfered looking directly at me with a taunting grin, Jesus Christ can they know what I'm thinking? "that nerd of yours bobby does not count" cat finished a satisfied look crossing her face, oh yes than can know damn.I should have known they knew how I was gunna go about this, but I just couldn't let them win.bobby was my current boyfriend and indeed he was a nerd and would do anything for me, everyone was always dumbfounded on why I agreed to be bobby's girlfriend but what they don't understand is that I'm done with pig headed pretty boy's.

giana, cat, and bridgette looked at me with raised eyebrows. I knew exactly what they were thinking," she cant do this little miss frigid having sex would totally destroy her and that wall she built up, what's a shame" - NO , I was not gunna back down to them or take there pity bullshit for what happened so long ago. they need to stop being so protective of me , I'm not gunna just fall apart again.

"then its settled!" lindsay clapped her hands together her smile broadening "lets shake on this" I rolled my eyes as she moved away from the counter towards me with her hand extended out to me, I reluctantly took it as she practically took my arm off she was shaking it so hard. the bell attached to the front door at that moment chimed out announcing someone's arrival, I couldn't see who cause lindsay was still in front of me shaking my hand.

"well hello ladies, wheres my gourgous girl?" but I deffinatly heard that voice it made me cringe every time he spoke.

" hey baby" I heard bridgette rise from the couch and cross the room towards the door.

lindsay finally let go of my hand and spun around " now you guys are witness to this bet" she moved back over to the couch were she was originally sitting and now I could see in plain sight alex and bridgette holding onto to each other like they were on the titanic or something while it was sinking and they only had seconds to live.

" what bet?" alex asked looking down at bridgette smiling waiting for her to fill him in.

but I beat her to it " nothing just girl stuff" he slowly turned his head to look at me as if he just realized I was sitting there.

" oh tay I didn't see you siting there" he said flashing me his million dollar smile

" don't call me tay, only people I like can" I said flashing him an equally fake smile

" awe thanks I love you too Taylor" the smile still plastered on his face but I can see his eye's furious beyond there blue enamel.

" I bet Taylor a 100 bucks I can lose my virginity before her and we just shook on it" lindsay said happily bouncing around in her seat.

"HA, Taylor you know you better start paying now, theres no way you'll let any guy close enough -"

"oh alex leave her alone" bridgette said smacking him on the chest.

I couldn't sit there anymore and be mocked by these people, in two months time I was gunna prove them all wrong.

" id love to stay and chat but I have somewhere to be" I said standing up and putting my back to all them to retrieve my bag and sweater.

"your not gunna wait for me to take you guys home?" giana asked looking confused.

" no I can walk home from here, but thanks a lot giana for the free tan" I said smiling geuinelly in her direction as I walked past the rest of them and out the door without a good bye.

******** ten minutes later**********

ten minutes later found me still walking down Lakeland street already tired, my house was still about 1 mile down the road and then through some side streets.

why was I so dumb to not stay and wait for a ride home.

thank god I knew a lot of people from the area. I heard a car honk behind me and turned around as a black ram 1500 slid into view beside me, I didn't recognize it as anyone I knews truck and the windows were tinted so much I couldn't see into the truck.

a second later the window rolled down and came a familiar face.

" hey tay need a ride home?" chris asked

"yeah I really do thank you" I smiled at him as he opened the door " where's you car?"

"the shop, matt here" he said waving to the guy in the drivers seat " just took me to drop it off and was just giving me a ride home "

"oh well thank god you came along"

"yeah well I don't know where we're gunna fit you" he looked around the back of the truck straining his neck, the back of the truck was extremely crowded with bags of stuff an littered with beer cans " but I guess you can just hop up on my lap if that's cool with you"

" of course, it beats walking another mile and a half "

" then hop in " he said extending his hands out towards me to pull me up.

I threw my bag up for him to catch then feeling the A/C blaring from the truck I decided to quickly put my sweater on getting it half down I reached up and let chris pull me into the truck settling comfortable between his legs as he shut the door behind me as the driver matt rolled up the window not wanting to let all the air conditioning out.

I thought that they needed to let out some air I was freezing, but that wasn't saying much all I was wearing was shorts and a tank top. I was having trouble getting my sweatshirt on and I was sure it had to be twisted up in the back. as if he could read my mind chris stuck his hand up the back of the sweatshirt and started to straighten it out while pulling it down over my back.

" thanks" I said.

"you cold or something baby girl?" he said rubbing my arms as though to warm them up.

" yeah a little" I said as I started to rub my legs to warm them up a bit.

" where we're you that you walking home alone?" he said sounding a bit concerned

" oh, well I was with bridgette, cat, and lindsay so we went to gianas to go tanning" I said pulling back the arm of my sweatshirt as if to prove this

" why didn't giana take you home?" he was so persistent.

"well I thought I could walk home instead of waiting for her to get off of work" I said smiling fakely hoping he wouldn't catch onto the real reason I had left.

"come on tell me the truth, I've known you your whole life to know that your shiting me" oh he caught on all rite.

" you seem to big to be shiting but hey I can try rite?!" I said looking forward at the oncoming road.

"tay come on stop playing" I can hear him getting agitated

"okay okay alex showed up and I didn't wanna be there and I just left before I thought about how I was gunna get home" I said laying myself back against chris's chest letting out a loud sigh. let me explain about alex, he would be my ex-boyfriend that broke up with me to go out with my cousin bridgette, why? because as he says I was distant and didn't give him what he needed, ha bull crap I just didn't want to blow the asshole.

" why do you let him still get to you, him and bridgette are good together and you deserve better, he's a fucking prick and I don't like him" he said in a caring tone.

" I know but I'm never ready when he comes around and it just startles me to see those two together" I frowned

" guys are no good bastards and there is nothing in the world that is gunna change that" said a voice I didn't reconigize, I had completely forgotten the guy matt was there.

" yeah they are , oh shit I'm sorry I forgot to introduce you guys" chris sounded as startled as I was to hear matt speak.

" matt this is Taylor, Taylor this is matt, she was the girl I was telling you about my best friends little sister , tom"

"oh yeah the one you live with right?" matt said as if it just all dawned on him.
