(CLARY’S P.O.V)
“Once upon a time there was a young girl who dreamed for something more and the love she knew was out there waiting for her,” began Clary, reading to three year old Clarissa and five year old Alley who were both in their beds listening eagerly to their favorite story.
“Alright buddy, this is getting’ to girly for us. Let’s get you to bed,” said Alden standing and pulling six year old Aiden across his shoulder. The young boy laughed.
With Aiden still across his shoulder Alden kissed both of his daughters across their brow and then Clary’s.
“I’ll see the both of you later,” he smiled eyeing her abnormally large stomach. She swatted at him playfully.
Alden laughed before heading out the door.
“Night mom!” shouted Aiden still laughing as they disappeared down the hall of their home.
Clary chuckled and thought about how lucky she had gotten.
After Clary had regained her memory both her and Alden became inseparable much in the same way they had been when they were younger. A few months later together they went to collage and Clary received her teaching degree and became a first grade teacher at the town’s elementary school.
Alden himself feeling inspired by the reconstruction of the old house went into construction and started his own small company in town that become immediately successful after opening.
On the day they had graduated Alden had once again proposed to Clary but this time it was a little more romantic with a picnic by the lake. This time Clary happily accepted the proposal and six months later they were husband and wife.
One thing that came unexpected though was when her father had handed them the deed to the old house on the day of the wedding. An even larger shock was when they went to the house only to realize that in the time they had been away from it her father had fixed it up and fully furnished it for them.
He had explained that he knew how important the house was to them and it was time that it had a loving family living in it once again.
Then at the age of twenty-four Clary gave birth to their first child, Aiden. Now both at the age of thirty with three wonderful children and another on the way in just a few short weeks, they were just as happy as they had been when they had first proclaimed their love.
“Mommy,” whined Alley. “the story!”
Clary smiled and continued reading and not fifteen minutes later both girls lay snuggled into their covers sleeping peacefully.
Clary stood kissed them both and turned off the lamp and walked to the door. Before she left she turned to look on them again. “And the girl lived happily ever after,” she whispered. Just like me.
When she walked into her and Alden’s room he was already there sprawled across the bed sleeping. She smiled lovingly down at him and made her way to her side of the bed turned off the lamp and crawled in next to him.
He rolled over and wrapped his arm around her stomach. “Are the girls asleep?” he asked.
“Yes,” she replied already half asleep. “Aiden?”
“Yea,” he said shifting slightly.
Her eyes popped open with a snap as a sudden feeling coursed through her body that she recognized.
“Ummmm…Alden? Please try not to panic like you usually do but…”
He sat up and looked down at her worry evident in his eyes and the crease in his brow. “What’s the matter?”
She looked up at him and gave a half smile. “My water just broke.”*Thank you all so much for reading! RATE if ya enjoyed!* =D
