Mernatian

   She peeled the small starfish off her ear, knowing it was time to accept the girl before her as the new queen. Pausing before handing it over. She looked down, her dark purple hair falling over her petite shoulders as she starred down at the delicate star lying in her palm. The water droplets on the tiny creatures back glistening a pale yellow/orange color in the setting sun's rays. It seemed to glow with happiness, awaiting to feel the new queens energy and read her ideas for the Mernatian species. Although a tint of sadness dulled its brilliant glow, knowing it must leave the one who kept it safe and "good" for many years. Slowly she looked back up at the girl in front of her, locking her own eyes with the childs. The girl's strange brown eyes glarred back at the queen impatiently. Evil was aparent upon the small childs face. The poor starfish would soon find the ugliness in the 13 year old girl also, and will be forced to follow the dark childs dreams. Its radiant light magic would soon be altered to dark hatefull magic, as it was made to do by the god of the hills.

   All of the merquils in maraquat could sense the evil she brought back from her journey as they stood in a circle around the ceremony rock watching and waiting for the queens next move. The always peacfull energy of Meraquat was now bending simply from the touch of her scaled skin against the holly rock. She hadn't even been graced with the title queen yet and already the sparkle in the air and the life in maraquat seemed to be turning grey. Everyone knew this was hard for the queen, for the "dark one" was her own child...
