Adina ran to her first class after walking in the door and out of the rain. She couldn’t believe that after one day she was making out with a guy, whom she had only known for two days, but god he was a good kisser she day dreamed. Not a word that was said in history Adina took in, she was too busy staring out the window to the football field, where Slade and a bunch of guys were playing footy…Shirts against no shirts, and Slade was a no shirt. She watched as he showed off to the guys running around a small helpless boy that was handing out water. He flexed the muscles…or what muscles he had on his arms, but oh he looked so good. The bell rung and Adina was lucky the girl next to her dropped her books or she would never have heard it. She had gym second period so she started towards the change room; it was packed with girl from every grade. She turned the dial on her locked and heard it click when the combination was finished. From it she pulled a long pair of pants and a training bra, Most girls wore these when doing gym but lately it had started to get  little cooler but Adina liked the cold. She dressed and met up with Jasmin at her locker “Hey girl…aren’t you cold in that tiny little training bra. Maybe you should put on a jacket” Jasmin looked worried by Adina assured her she was fine, she also had another reason for not wanting to pull on a jacket. The sky had started to clear and the rain had stopped but there was still a light breeze that would send a shiver down your spine, and the grass on the oval was looking as green as ever from the constant down pour of rain. The groups of boys from the footy field were walking towards the girl’s, some wolf whistled and some shouted but Adina kept walking, she was only looking for one guy. Slade walked towards her and his eyes brighten as he looked over her slim figure, as they passed each other Adina ran her hand across Slade stomach. He turned and walked backwards and smiled “See you round”

“Probably” She mouthed back. Her smiled stretched across her face, Jasmin looked at her and started to laugh “What was all the about” She waited for her answer but it didn’t come “Di? Di your daydreaming again”

“Huh…what?”

“What was all that about…and don’t say it’s nothing ‘cause you were totally eye fucking him” Adina pushed her mate away from her and started to run “Catch me if you can”

Adina pulled the seat belt on and started the car but there was something in her head that was begging her not to move. She followed her gut and sat and watched the front doors open and Slade walked out. She drove up beside him and wound down the window “Hi stranger…Need a lift” Slade smiled

“Why not” He opened the door and jumped in.

“Where to sir” He turned in his seat

“How ‘bout your place” He smiled and she laughed “Or my place either one is fine”

“I’ve most likely got a bigger room that you so how ‘bout we go to my place?”

“Sure. So is your dad like rich or something…?”

“Yeah. My mum’s parents were very wealthy and when she…umm…Well her inheritance money is now mine. So I guess I’m really the wealthy one” She peeled her eyes from the road and stared at him “What?” She asked when he looked quite upset

“One of the guys today told me about your mum…I’m really sorry”

“So am I, she would have really liked you”

Adina pulled the car into the garage and got out. “Come on I want to show you something”

“What?”

“Just wait and you’ll see” She took his hand and dragged him through the front door, then through the lounge room then finally to the back door. The blinds hanging on the glass door made it impossible to see in or out but the sound was unforgettable. She pushed the doors open and Slade thought to himself ‘This is the most beautiful thing he had ever seen’

The white san shone from the rays of the sun and the ocean was crystal clear “Can you swim?” She asked

“Like a fish”

“Well wait here and I’ll go and get dressed” She kissed the side of his cheek and grinned as she walked away. Slade walked down the path until the soft green grass became grains of sand between his toes. He dropped his school bag and pulled off his shoes and shirt and threw them on the beach. He looked to the sky and not one cloud blocked the clear rays of the bright sun “Finally” he whispered to himself.

“Ready?” Slade swung around to find Adina in nothing but a little blue and purple bikini, he couldn’t do anything but stare “My eyes are up here Einstein” She laughed and took his hand and ran toward the water. She couldn’t believe that only this morning it had been pouring rain, when they hit the water it was nearly as warm as the bath she had taken before school. She let go of Slade’s hand and dived into the water, and he was following not far behind. There were only little waves but it was enough to throw Adina’s tiny frame about, but Slade caught her as a wave picked her up.

“When you asked me if I could swim I was assuming you could too” He said pulling her into his arms.
