They rode until they could see the sun through the canopy above the trees, they stopped and Kiki handed out pieces of home made bread Lena had given her, and drank what was left of the wine. “How long will it be until we hit the first town?”

Kiki turned to Salina “We should be there by nightfall. Before we go to the motel I have to go and see some old friends”

Everyone mounted again and rode on. Kiki had learned to relax every time Koga toughed her, she lent back in his arms and sighed. Koga laughed “What was that for?” Kiki jumped forward and her cheeks turned a pale pink “I just...well…oh never mind” Koga pulled her back into his arms and whispered in her soft ear “Relax, my touch isn’t going to burn you” She stayed that way until they reached the outskirts of Green fields, a little earlier than they expected. “Okay guys I’ve got to go see an old friend before we do anything” They rode up to the top of a small mountain, and there nestled in amongst the trees, was a large white mansion. Kiki knocked on the big wooden doors and they were greeted by a young couple that screamed with joy when Kiki walked in. “Connor, Lilly, How good it is too see you” Kiki hugged the lady and the young man kissed her on the cheek, behind her Koga gripped his knuckles. “Cool it buddy, she’s not yours to control” Salina whispered to him

“Oh my god Kiki, what are you doing so far away from home. And with such handsome company” Lilly looked over Kiki’s shoulder and winked at Koga. Kiki laughed and pulled him forwards “Lilly this is Koga. Koga this is my best friend and favorite cousin Lilly” Lilly held out her hand, Koga took it and kissed the soft skin “It’s a pleasure to meet you Lilly. This is my friend and comrade Salina Kiyako and her brother Michael” they greeted each other, then the small group shuffled into the large living room. “So Kiki tell me, what are you doing so far north?”

Kiki knew better than to argue with her cousin, so the plans changed.

They were all shown to their individual rooms before being asked to assemble in the living room.

Kiki put her hand to her mouth when a group of servants bought dress after dress from Lilly’s cupboard. Kiki ran her hand over the lining of a red dress but a different one took her fancy. Diamonds shone off the silk that was a blue as the sky itself, the thin shoulder straps ran from front to back and the matching slippers were just her size. She picked up silver mask covered in glitter and retreated back to her room. She hung up her dress and fell back onto the satin sheets that covered the bed; she closed her eyes and was soon falling into a deep sleep.

Kiki jumped up when a knock at he door woke her “Darling are you alright, we haven’t seen you all afternoon” She looked out the window and the sun had disappeared once again. She hoped off the bed and opened the door to find Lilly in a beautiful red dress. “Oh dear you look awful. Come on have a shower and I’ll help you get ready”

Koga walked around in circles in awe at the massive ballroom, that one room was bigger than his whole house. People walked in the doors from every direction and soon the big hall was full, Koga decided it was not the best place to be considering he couldn’t look any one in the eye without seeing the terrible things they had done. The double doors he took led out into a smaller hall that was empty except for the large white stairs that led to the next story of the house. A blue flicker caught his eye, as he turn he saw Kiki in all her glory. She smiled as he took her arm to escort her into the ballroom. “ Well you cleaned up quite well didn’t you, little miss”
