Love From A Fallen Angel (Part 18)

After dinner, you said good-bye to Eric and Rachel. As they left, you leaned against Andrew, tired from all the excitement from the day. He held you in one arm while waving good-bye to his dad and Rachel with the other. The door closed and you fell asleep on Andrew's shoulder. He picked you up bridle style and carried you to your bed. He laid you down softly and carefully, trying his hardest not to wake you up, but you did. You kept your eyes closed so that Andrew wouldn't know, though. He bent over to give you a good-night kiss on the lips. You accepted it and kissed him back, eyes still closed. He smiled against your lips and continued. He got on the bed next to you, reaching his arm over your body and placing it next to you on the bed. He gently, softly stroked your cheek with his other hand, and placed it there. His hand was a little cold, which made you gasp a little in the kiss. Andrew ended the kiss and laughed. You laughed along with him.
"Please stay here with me?" He asked, smiling.
"I can't. I have to go to work Tomor........ Work!" Andrew backed up as you sat up. "I have to go to work tomorrow! How are we going to get there in time!!?"
"There's a five hour time difference, and it only takes me a few minutes to get there from here. Don't worry. If you want........" He hesitated. "We can leave tomorrow at ten and still make it there in time." He wasn't smiling anymore.
That made you stop smiling as well. "I suppose." You looked him in the eyes. They were sad, lonely, longing, loving, all at the same time. You were suddenly wishing that you could stay here with him. Stay here and live the rest of your life in his arms.
But I can't. He's already dead. You thought. You looked at his wings now unfolded from his back and outstretched.
"Is that a white feather?" You asked, pointing at a white speckle in the black featheriness. Andrew looked and gasped.
"So it is." He said, then smiled. He bent over and kissed you one more time. One long, passionate, blissful kiss. "You better get some sleep." He got up off of the bed and started for the door.
"Good-night." You said.
"I......." He hesitated.
