Antonio had been busy talking to his father, "How are we to get Aleera's help in this?" He murmured with a doubtful tone "You shall have to figure that out on your own my child." His father replied sounding even more sickly then before.
"When you have got her to go with you go to the palace, show the guards Aleera's amulet and they should let you in to see the queen, as the king is ill they will not allow you to see him. Do you know what you need to do now?" Antonio gave a single nod and began to speak. "father ca...", "please son, I have nothing left to say, get Aleera and go to the palace."
Antonio tried to speak but his father bade him to be silent and so no more was said.
Antonio exited the room and walked down the short hall into his own, lay on his small, uncomfortable bed and began to think.
After some time Antonio still lay motionless, the room was silent it was much like Aleera's though it was warm and did not have the lonely feeling.
"What does the amulet say?!" an irritated voice echoed through his empty room, he jumped up and saw it was Aleera standing in his doorway "What do the inscriptions say?!" He wished he could tell her but alas, he could not, "Aleera you must understand that I cannot..." Her hopeful look turned now it was a cold, hard stare. "Tell me now!" she yelled.
Her voice was normally a calm monotone but at this moment it was full of anger. "Tell me!" She barked, Antonio sighed "No, I... I just can't."
Filled with rage Aleera lashed out at him. At this exact moment Antonio's twin Devante had walked in, he saw what was happening and quickly restrained her.
"Hey Aleera!" he shouted "you really need to do something about this anger management problem, what trigged it this time?" Devante asked with a fed up voice, Antonio frowned "Mind your own business Devante, I can handle this myself, So back off!" Devante glared at Antonio "this whole anger management problem must run in the family" he muttered.
Devante quickly left the room and went to sit in his own sleeping quarters.
Though Antonio and Devante were twins they were nothing alike, not even with their appearances. Devante was far stronger than Antonio but far less intellectual. Devante had pale skin and chin length brown hair. He had green eyes and normally wore a dark coloured robe.
Please let me know what you think.
