The next morning the 3rd attack was all over the news. Police were trying to figure out what was going on without luck. Some were thinking that the murders had been ritual killings; others said that a wild beast had escaped from a zoo and found it's way to their town. Even old ladies were saying that the Chupacabras was out and about. Many locked themselves in their houses. Teens rebelled and hung outside the places were the murders had taking place. For Diana it meant the whole day inside her house. Her parents were going mad, sealing each window so nothing could get in. For Jake it meant babysitting his sister, Stephanie, while their mother worked her two jobs. Johnny spent the whole say walking around town, picking up what the people were saying....
At the local workshop people accumulated to buy wood planks and stronger locks to seal their houses from the murderer. People fought over the last piece of wood as if it meant salvation, lines were longer than the hope a poor man holds. Panic issued in town.
Night came. There wasn't a soul out in town, except maybe the crazy teenagers that disobeyed their parents and left the already sealed houses.
People expected the morning news to be filled with information about the newest killing, but it didn't come. The murderer had not showed his face, and had not killed. Still, every night the people sealed their houses during that week. As the week wore off, so did the fear. People began relaxing once again and paid their respect to the three victims....But that would not last, for the month ended and the full moon grew close once again....
