    Another month passed by with the  comings and goings of the normal lives of teenagers. Jake and Diana kept seeing each other, they looked more in love too. Everyone talked about how much they envied their happiness. Christie, was still mad at Diana for some unknown reason and kept getting makeovers every week. Anna kept her silly deception games with Will, Mark and some other random guy she had met at the gym. Andy kept burring himself in books of mythology, searching for info about the big bad wolf. Stephanie never loss a game of Monopoly, to Johnny's bad luck.

     The difference this time was that summer vacations had finally started. School had ended with the sour note of Principal Walker's death. Mrs. Johnson had taken time from both of her jobs to mourn, she had fallen into a really severe depression. So, to keep the house afloat, Jake started a summer job at a local movie theater while Stephanie took care of their mom. Diana would swing by occasionally to help Stephanie with the cooking, while Johnny got busy with the big man stuff, which meant washing the cars, cleaning the gutters and trimming the grass. 

     But the normality of their lives was ending, for that time of the month was upon them once again. The day of the first night of full moon, Jake's mom had a really bad collapse. Her therapist opted for sending her to a clinic until better. Jake left his mother feeling like scum for doing so, but thinking about his little sister that needed to eat and board the house before night came. When he arrived to his house, Diana had prepared a good meal for all of them to eat, and Johnny had already boarded the house. Thinking that he had the best of friends he entered the house.

-"Listen dude! Your house it's safe, so I'm staying here tonight. And so is your sneaky girlfriend."- said Johnny when Jake entered.

-"I'm not sneaky, I'm just a pretty decent liar. I told my parents that I was staying at Christie's...they still don't know she's mad at me." - said Diana smiling.

-"Baby, you didn't have to stay..."

-"Yeah, right! Who's gonna cook around here? I don't know if you've tried Johnny's "Just add water soups"... they don't taste like soup. Stephanie tries, but are you going to live of fries and pizza deliveries?" - said Diana.

-"I can cook." - said Jake

-"Dude, I've tried your pancakes... They taste like dirt!" - said Johnny laughing. -"So this is what we'll do. We'll stay together, all of us, so no kinky stuff for you two tonight... Stephanie is setting some sleeping bags in the living room, and that's were we'll sleep."

-"May I ask why?" - said Jake.

-"Cuz I'm scared of the wolf thingy and I wanna be surrounded by people in case it comes. Let's say that it will have a choice before eating me. Steph is the tender meat, you are the big meat, and Diana is the juicy bone!" - said Johnny smiling

-"Dude, that's not even funny." - said Jake

-"The sad thing is, that I know it."

    All four of them got into the living room and watched a rental movie. It was a dating comedy, something that both Jake and Johnny called a Freaking chick flick. By the time the movie was over Jake and Johnny had fallen asleep and Stephanie was fighting her already closed eyes.

    One whole minute into the credits Diana's cell phone started ringing loudly, so loud it actually woke up the guys.

-"Sorry guys. It's from my mom. Damn it's 1am! Why is she calling me?" - said Diana before pressing the green button -"Hello? Mom, it's one in the morning, what is it? What? Mom, I can't understand you... Where are you? Hospital! What happened? I'm on my way!"

-"Babe, what happened?" - asked Jake still sleepy.

-"Dunno, she was crying. I think something happened to dad." - said Diana putting on a jacket and getting her keys.

 -"Wait a minute. I'll come with." - said Jake.

-"Are you crazy? If you come they'll know I was here. And besides, someone has to stay with Stephanie."- said Diana

-"We'll say you called me on the way and we got there at the same time, and I'm sure Johnny won't mind staying with Steph..."

-"No, I won't. As long as she doesn't mention Park Avenue I think we'll be ok."  - said Johnny.

    Jake put on a jacket and they both left. 

-"I guess that breakfast will be cereal, cuz I don't think Pizza Hut opens that early." - said Stephanie when Jake closed the door behind him.

-"Yeah. Either that or wait until opening time..." - said Johnny.

-"What do you think happened to Diana's dad? " - asked Steph

-"Dunno. I just hope it wasn't the big bad wolf..."
