It was like an out of body experience. I saw my body laying there on the bed, bruises on my neck where Ecifircas had his hands, breathe barely escaping my body; I was dying. I looked up to see Ecifircas coming toward my body with a knife and cup. He kneels down, cuts my wrist deep; I try to scream but nothing escaped, he put the cup under my hand and let the blood drip into it.

“Shhh, hush now miss. This will all be over in a few moments. Mmm young, virgin blood; perfect for my spell to give me ever lasting life.”

“No…” I said weakly. I’m not a virgin; in fact I’m with child. I wanted to tell him, maybe he’d stop and I could still live but I didn’t have any strength.

In a matter of seconds the light left my eyes and my body went limp; I let out a final sigh as well.

He killed me, so he could live forever. I wasn’t a virgin so he couldn’t have everlasting life. He told me we’ve done this time and time again. Those pictures we keep getting married over and over; now it’s going to happen again. My Captor keeps taking my virginity before Ecifircas can kill me. Does he know? I need to tell him, if he doesn’t.

I opened my eyes and I was back in the attic. The light had gone dead, I shook it a couple of times but nothing happened. I found my way back to the stairs and carefully walk back down.

When I was back in the hallway I started running. I ran into my Captor.

“Oh, love there you are. Are you ready for dinner? I am starved and you haven’t eaten all day you must be starved, too.” He said.

“I have to talk to you!” I sort of screamed at him and grabbed his shirt in both of my hands.

“Mary, what is wrong?” he asked and grabbed my hands.

“Master, dinner is getting cold.” Ecifircas said; he appeared around the corner but it seemed like out of nowhere.

“Ah yes, of course.” my Captor said.

“But…” I tried to stop him from going but it was useless.

He pulled me along with him to the dinning room. “Later love, you can tell me later. Right now we will eat.”

All I could do was nod my head and follow him. Ecifircas didn’t leave the room the whole time. I sat there just pushing the food around on my plate, I was starving but I wasn’t going to eat anything.

We just sat there in silence. The only sound was the utensils hitting the plates. I let out a small sigh. I have to tell you.
