All of a sudden my thoughts stopped, or really Ecifircas stopped talking. I opened my eyes and found myself alone. I stood up just as soon as the door opened.

“Love, I see you found the baby’s room. I thought you’d love it. You do, don’t you?” he asked.

I nodded my head; I placed the little cheetah on the chair and walked over to him. He opened his arms to me as I came closer; I walked right into his arms and wrapped mine about his neck and kissed him. I don’t know how long we kissed but it seemed like forever.

“My love,” I whispered against his lips when he drew his head back. “I want to keep exploring the house,” I said. “By myself, though.”

“Oh, well ok my love. Don’t be long; dinner will be soon.” He said. I kissed him one last time before I left the nursery.

I walked along the long hallways. I didn’t know where I was going but wherever it was I know I’d find my answer wherever it was.

I found a flashlight in a drawer in the kitchen and took it; I don’t know why. I started walking to a door at the back of the house, when I opened it there were stairs that led up. An attic maybe? What would be in the attic? I thought inside my head, hopefully.

I headed up there and turned on the flashlight, it was pitch dark up there.

Pictures were in a corner, all stacked up on top of each other. There were only a couple but each was a picture of me and my Captor on our wedding day.

Why don’t I know your name? Everything else is coming back to me, why not your name?

I sat there and let my mind wander again. I need to remember.
