First Kiss (4)

“BEEP, BEEP”, rung Aoki’s alarm clock. Mostly, people wouldn’t like to hear the sound of an alarm clock in the mornings. Cupid must’ve struck Aoki really hard. She woke up happily with a smile on her face. She sat up in the bed and sigh heavily. “Today is going to be a glorious day”, she said to herself and then got out of her bed.

She walked across the hall into the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror and laughed at how her morning view was. She walked over to the shower and turned on the water. She undressed as she waited for the water to get warm enough for her. She put her hand under the water to feel and then she climbed in.

She got out of the shower and wrapped her body and her wet hair in a towel. She walked back to the mirror and wiped of the steam. She grabbed her toothbrush and toothpaste. Then she began to brush her teeth.

When she was done in the bathroom, she walked in her room. She walked over to her closet looked through it to find her favorite pair of jeans and favorite t-shirt.

After she was done dressing, she walked over to her mirror and sat down in front of it. She blow dried her hair out, and examined her hair and thought of what style to put it in. She turn her head left to right and finally just decided to let it hang-down. She brushed it down until it looked perfect to her.

She applied her make-up and got off of the stool. She grabbed her bag and her keys and left her room.

She walked downstairs, into the living room. Her mother was sitting on the couch in a red robe with her feet on top of the coffee table. “Good morning mother”, said Aoki as she sat down beside her mother. “Good morning Aoki, you seem to be in a happy mood”, says her mother as she changes the television channels. “Well today is going to be wonderful Friday”. “And why is that”, asked her mother as she looked her puzzling. “Well…um…there’s a new student coming to our school”, lied Aoki. “Uh-huh, now Aoki you me better than that”. “What mom, there is a new student coming to our school”. “Yeah right, I can see straight through your little lie”, says her mother as she pokes her nose. Aoki and her mother laughs. “Okay, okay…this boy and I are dating”, says Aoki. “Well, you know I don’t really approve of you dating a guy”. “I know mom”. “So, don‘t get caught up in this relationship so much that you can‘t focus in school Aoki“, “Okay mom, well I got to go”, says Aoki as she gets off of the sofa. “Wait, do you want any breakfast”? Usually Aoki would say yes, but she decided to say no for a change. “No ma’am and plus I’m running a little late”. “Okay, well drive safely and see you later”. “Okay mom, bye, love you”. “Love you too”. Aoki walks out of the house and gets inside of her car. She starts the ignition and pulls out of the driveway and drives off.

She pulls up to the school and see some kids heading in. She turns the car off, grabs her bag, and gets out of the car. She starts running towards the school. “Uh-huh, earthquake…take cover”, jokes a blond headed girl with a group of teens. Aoki stops instantly and turns around towards the group. “Do ya’ll have anything else to do, then making fun of innocent people”, asks Aoki? “I bet that doughnut was innocent, but you just made it guilty”, jokes a red headed guy. “That wasn’t even funny, but you know what…”, Aoki was about to say something but was cut off by the bell. She rolled her eyes and continued towards the building.

She walked in and went to her locker. A huge smile grew across her face. There was a red rose and letter taped to her locker. She pulled off the letter and it read:

Aoki smiled as she folded the letter back. She opened her locker and taped the rose on the door. She got her books out and closed her locker. As she walked to class, she slide the letter into her bag.

She made it to class and saw the students already working. Aoki sighed and opened the door. The teacher turned to look. “Oh Ms. Samuels, it’s nice to see that you finally wanted to join us”, says the teacher, Mr. Lewis. “I’m sorry Mr. Lewis”, says Aoki as she walks to her seat. “She probably was too busy eating a dozen donuts”, jokes a black headed boy from across the room named Chris. “Oh wow, that’s really funny…great joke”, says Aoki in a very irritated way while sitting down in her seat. “Oh thanks”, replies Chris. “You’re not welcome”, says Aoki as she gives a fake smile. “Aoki and Chris, cut it out…Chris, your childish comment was very unnecessary”, says Mr. Lewis as he points his marker at Chris. Aoki shakes her head and takes out her notebook and starts writing her notes off the board

At the end of the day, Aoki was so excited. She ran to her locker and sees another letter and rose. She pulls the letter off and opens it quickly…it reads:

She folds the locker back quickly and opens her locker. She shoves the books in and taps the second rose beside the first one. And heads to the front door.

She walks out of the door and sees Xavier sitting on top of the picnic table. She walks down the steps and out to Xavier. He spots her and hops off the table. He opens his arms and she runs between them. They hug each other gracefully.

After about three minutes of hugging, they finally release each other. Xavier sits on the table and Aoki sits beside him. “So baby, how was your day”, he asks holding her hand? “It’s a whole lot better now”, she says as she lays her head on his shoulder. “Aw, poor baby”, says Xavier. “So what was it that you wanted to ask me”, asks Aoki sitting up and looking at Xavier? “Well, I wanted to know if you wanted to come over to my house tonight and have dinner with me”? “Oh really Xavier, I would love to”, says Aoki as she hugs Xavier. “I’m so excited now”, whisper Xavier. “I am too”, whispers back Aoki as she pulls away and looks directly into Xavier’s eyes. He moves in slowly for the kiss. Aoki closes her eyes and waits for her first kiss. “Hey dude”, interrupts Xavier’s friend, Arnold. “Great”, says Aoki as she pulls away and gets off of the table. “Hey Arnold”, says Xavier. Arnold sits beside Xavier, where Aoki was sitting. “I’m going to go, I’ll see you later”, says Aoki as she gets her bag off the ground. “Wait, don’t go”, says Xavier as he hops off of the table. “Um, did I come at a wrong time”, asks Arnold? “No…just wait…hold on for a second”, says Xavier as he runs behind Aoki to stop her.

He grabs her arm and turns her around. “Why are you leaving”? “Because you’re friend came and I didn’t want to be in the way”. “You weren’t going to be in the way, besides we were just about to kiss”. “I know Xavier, I’ll just…see you later”, says Aoki as she turns around and start walking away again. “Aoki”, yells Xavier!!! She continued to walk. He shakes his head, put his hands on top of his head, and walks back over to Arnold.
