Hey Nyla". "Oh, hey Jordan", says Nyla turning to face him. "I've been thinking about what happened", says Jordan. "Oh really", says Nyla. "Yeah and I wanted to apologize", says Jordan. "You're apology is accepted", says Nyla. "So, what about us"? "What about us"? "Do you want to try this again"? "I'm sorry Jordan, but I hooked back up Bryan". "What"! "Yeah, I'm sorry". "Why would you get back with him, I'm way better than that asshole", says Jordan. "He wouldn't dump me after I gave myself up to him". "I didn't know what I was thinking". "You surly didn't". "Nyla, you're making a big mistake". "How, just because I don't want to be with you", says Nyla. "Not really". "That's what I thought, bye Jordan". Nyla walks out of the store with Jasmine running up behind her trying to catch up. "Let's go home", says Nyla.

The whole entire ride to the fair was silent. Nyla sat in the passenger seat with her arms folded. Jasmine and her boyfriend were in the backseat starring out their windows. And Bryan is driving, doing about 55. "Wow, you guys are surly quiet", says Bryan, trying to break the silence. "Yeah, ya'll surly are", says Jasmine's boyfriend, Antonio. "Nyla, are you okay", asks Bryan? "Huh...yeah, I'm okay", says Nyla. "Baby, are you okay', asks Antonio as he taps Jasmine on the shoulder. "Uh-huh", says Jasmine. The rest continued to be quiet until the reached the fair ground.

"We've made it ladies and Antonio", says Bryan. Nyla and Jasmine were the first ones to hop out of the truck. "Damn, they don't even want us to open the doors for them", says Bryan. "Something must really be wrong", says Antonio as he puts his arm around Jasmine's shoulder. Bryan walks over to Nyla and does the same. She moves over and Bryan's arm falls down aside of him. "What's wrong Nyla", asks Bryan putting his arm around her shoulder again. "Nothing Bryan, can you just leave me alone", says Nyla as she pushes him away. She continued to walk down the hill to the ticket booth. Jasmine ran up aside her. "Are you thinking about Jordan", asks Jasmine? "No, why you ask", says Nyla. "Because you won't even let Bryan touch you', says Jasmine. "Maybe I just don't wanna be bothered", says Nyla. "You wouldn't have came to the fair if you didn't want to be bothered", says Jasmine. "Whatever". "Did you come because you think Jordan's going to be here", asks Jasmine? "Why Jasmine, why does it even matter to", snaps Nyla. "Sorry, I'll just leave you alone then", says Jasmine as she backs up away from Nyla.

Nyla reaches the ticket window and pays for her ticket. She walks into the gate and hands her ticket to a older guy wearing a bright lime colored shirt like everyone else working there. She continues to walk and look at everyone enjoying themselves.

"Hey Nyla", runs up a little girl that she used to babysit. "Hey Cami, where is your mother", asks Nyla? "She's at home, I'm here with my big cousin Jordan", says Cami. "Where is she", asks Nyla? "No it's a boy and he's over there buying cotton candy", points Cami. Nyla, with her eyes, follows Cami's finger to where she points. Nyla realizes it's Jordan, her Jordan. "That's your cousin", asks Nyla? "Yeah, do you know him", asks Cami? "Kind of". "Come on, let's go talk to him", says Cami as she pulls Nyla over towards the food counter.

"Jordan, this is my old babysitter Nyla", says Cami as she pulls on his long Polo shirt to get his attention. Jordan turns around. "Oh hey", says Jordan. "Hey Jordan", says Nyla. "Jordan can I go slide on that big slide", asks Cami pointing to the biggest slide on the fair ground. "Yeah, go right ahead", says Jordan. Cami runs to the big slide with her brown hair blowing with the wind. "Can we talk", asks Nyla? "About what", asks Jordan? "You know". "No I don't know". "I'm sorry about what happened at the mall". "Nyla I care for you so much and turn me down". "Well you dumped me, how was I suppose to feel". "How did you feel"? "Hurt Jordan, like my heart had shattered into pieces". "I was hurt too". "How was you hurt"? "I lost the most important woman in my life". "Jordan you dumped me because you thought we moved to fast the other night". "I was stupid for saying that". "Jordan...I still love you". "I still love you too". "Are we friends or what now"? "It's whatever", says Jordan. "I want to be back with you, but let's take it slow", says Nyla. "So us old folks can catch up", jokes Jordan. Nyla laughs. "Yeah". "So can I have a hug". "Sure Jordan", says Nyla. Jordan puts the cotton candy on the table and hugs Nyla. Then suddenly a familiar voice comes from behind Nyla. "What the fuck", yells Bryan?
