Which Side Are You On? *Part 23*

"Syth?!" she yells. "Where are you? Please don’t leave me here…I don’t want to be alone," she says, shivering.

She reaches a door on her right. Well, an entrance. The door was laying on the floor in the hallway. Syth must have ripped it off the hinges. She glances in the room to see Syth and Damien fighting.

Syth was swinging the bar he broke off from the cell towards Damien. He kept trying to stab Damien, but luckily-for Damien-, he had enough speed to evade being plunged by it.

Damien wasn’t really doing much in the fight. He was mostly dodging Syth’s attempts to hit him while laughing and making obscene remarks. He just stood there dodging pretty much everything Syth did except for the few times Syth actually hit him.

What kind of demon is Damien? He’s super fast. I’ve never seen anything so fast before. Not like this. She thinks while still shivering from all the crazy excitement.

Damien stopped laughing at took a glance at Sovira, just now noticing her.

"Come, Sovira. Join us in our dance lessons," ha says, laughing again at Syth’s failed attempts to hit him.

"Leave! Now!" Syth yells towards Sovira, not once taking his eyes off of Damien.

"B-But…," Sovira stammers.

"Sovira, go!"

"Syth, I…You-"

Syth cuts her off again. "Now, Sovira! Get out of here! I can handle this!" he growled.

He was now more scary than ever. He scared Sovira so much that she obeyed him and left, but only the room. She couldn’t just leave him there, not knowing if he was okay or not. So she stayed outside the room, but kept her head peeped in the doorway, peeking in at them. She didn’t know whether she should stay or leave, or maybe help. She didn’t know so she stayed right there where she was.

He only told her to leave, but he never mentioned the full extent of his meaning. He didn’t tell her she couldn’t peek in the doorway, so she was still obeying.

Syth must have thought she left because he didn’t say anything to her for another minute. But Damien on the other hand knew she was still there. He glanced at her, smirking while still evading Syth.

"Watch this," he says, still smirking.

As Syth swings the bar at Damien, he quickly jerks his arm at it, breaking it in half. The part he broke off flew across the room to another door. Karamys was standing there leaning against the doorframe. He was watching everything. How long has he been there? Has he been here the whole time?

Karamys picks up the broken piece and starts patting it against his hand while watching the show. Damien had grabbed the other half of the bar that Syth was holding and forced him into the wall.

"Graaa!" Syth screams in anger.

He looked so powerless against Damien. Why? I wish I could do something to help. I’m so useless.

"Watch now, Sovira. This is what I’ve been wanting to show you," Damien says with a big smirk.

He turns his head back to face Syth. He grabs the bar with both his hands and jabs it hard into the side of Syth’s stomach. Syth screams in agony and pain. Damien laughs, then grabs a handful of Syth’s hair and tilts his head to the side and bites down on his neck. He pulls away fast, ripping a huge chunk out of his neck and spitting it out on the floor.

Sovira gasps. How can he be so cruel? He’s his blood relative. How can he do this without a single caring bone in his body? What a monster! How revolting! It disgusts me to watch this any longer. He is going to kill Syth!

Before Sovira even knew what to do, Karamys tossed Damien the other half of the bar. He quickly caught it while still holding Syth up against the wall with the other half of the bar which was still pierced into his side.

"Hahaha!" Damien laughs. "Are you watching, Sovira, as I destroy the only thing capable of saving your piteous life?!"

With this said, he readies the bar in his hand and shoves it into Syth’s chest. His chest…The left side of his chest…Where his heart is. Syth screams very deafeningly as if he were dying. Sovira drops to her knees.

"How could you do this to your own cousin?!" she yells angrily at Damien.

Tears start building up now. Syth was now pinned to the wall by two bars. One piercing his side and the other in his chest. He wasn’t moving either. Not one single movement could be seen. He was dead and there was nothing Sovira could do about it. Nothing. She was bawling her eyes out now. She didn’t know what she was feeling right now. She felt angry at the fact Damien just brutally murdered Syth, Ahx’s brother. But Sovira felt something more, like she actually cared about him other than because he was Ahx’s brother. It was a weird feeling. Could I be falling for him? Too late now. She thinks.
