Which Side Are You On? *Part 20*

"Falling for me now are we?" Syth says with a smile.

"Syth!" She says with relief and puts her arms around his neck, squeezing him tightly.

"Ow. Trying to kill me now? I missed you too, Sovira."

"Thank you Syth! I could’ve died!" She says crying.

He sets her down and wipes her tears away with his hand and embraces her.

"Yeah, I know. I’m glad I came in time," he says.

"I think I know who the killer is. It’s Draegon," Sovira says confidently as she pulls herself out of his embrace.

"Draegon?" Syth says looking confused. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. That’s his name. He’s in that mansion. He’s the one who threw me out. He tried to kill me Syth!"

"Well, you stay here. I’ll go in," he says running quickly around the mansion to the entrance.

"Syth! Wait!"

She runs to catch up with him, but he was already inside. She walks in the entrance slowly, making sure no one is following her or watching her.

"Syth? Syth?! Where are you?" She shouts while walking down a dark corridor.

Anyone ever heard of lights around here? Everywhere I go…dark, dark, dark. She sighs. Where could Syth be?

"Syth?! Hello?"

She takes a deep breath. I’m so scared. What if I run into Draegon? Or some other weirdo?

"Eeeeeek!" Something screeches.

"Aaaaaaahh!" She screams and runs through two hallways before stopping for air.

(huff, huff, huff)

"Eeeeeek!"

She sees bats flying across the hallway. Bats, she laughs. I was afraid of bats. She takes another deep breath and starts walking again. She reaches the stairs and walks up them slowly while gazing around at all her surroundings.

"Hello? Syth?! Anyone here?! Hello?!" She yells.

"I’m here," says a deep voice sending chills down her spine.

She couldn’t tell where it came from or how close they were. It scared her so she ran up the stairs and through a hallway as fast as she could.

(huff, huff, huff)

Where could they be? Was it Draegon? Where do I go? Where is Syth? She takes a couple more deep breaths. I’m so freakin scared.

"Hahaha!" Someone laughs.

"Aaah!"

She starts running through another hallway.

"Going somewhere?" Draegon says right behind her.

Sovira was so terrified that she tripped over herself and fell face first onto the floor. Her heart skips several beats as she lies there frozen in fear.

"I…uh.."

She was too afraid to even speak. He laughs and walks towards her.

"Ugh…"

She tries to crawl away from him, but she couldn’t move. No matter how hard she tried.She was frozen there. Like someone had just completely stopped the time in her own little bubble. She was that terrified of Draegon.

"Hahaha," he laughs. "Come back to play some more now have we?" Draegon says in a spine-chilling voice and kneels down to Sovira. "What’s wrong? Can’t move?" He laughs.

"Dra…Draegon," Sovira whimpers.

"Lets get this clear. It’s Damien," he smirks.

"You…You’re Damien?" Sovira’s heart skips another beat. Oh shit.

He laughs then says, "So I see you’ve heard of me." As he says this he picks up Sovira tossing her over his shoulder and walking somewhere.

"Drag…uh…Damien. Please, Don’t do this," She begs.

"Don’t worry, beautiful. I’ll make your death quick and painless," he smirks.

She whimpers in fear as he tosses her in a chair. He opens a case and gets out a needle. Sovira starts crying and her heart skips several more beats. I’ve got to get out of here! She pulls herself together and out of her fearful frozen state and tries to run, but Damien sticks his leg out tripping her. He picks her back up and throws her back into the chair. Only this time he chains her arms and legs to it so she can’t try to escape again. Then he gets the needle ready.

"Why are you doing this?" Sovira asks.

He doesn’t answer. He just laughs. He walks over to her and sticks the needle in her arm and shoots her with this liquid.

"Ugh.." She groans in pain as the needle penetrates her skin.

He takes it out and puts it back into the small black case.

"Damien! What have you done with her?!" Yells a voice at the door.

It was Karamys. He has finally returned. But where is Syth?

"I said to play nice," Karamys goes on.

"Sorry. Guess I had a little too much fun," Damien laughs.

"Karamys," Sovira says slurring his name.

She started feeling dizzy and things were slowly beginning to look like blurs.

"Don’t worry, Sovira," Karamys says. "Damien, unchain her."

"Alright," Damien says sounding disappointed.

"Karamys, you lied," She forces out of her mouth.

It was hard for her to speak. She couldn’t move, couldn’t feel, and now everything was blurry. She couldn’t tell anything apart from each other. She felt as if she could pass out at any second now. Karamys and Damien started walking towards her and then she heard a loud angry voice at the door.

"Karamys! Damien! You bastards! What the hell are you doing to her?! She doesn’t deserve this!" It was Syth yelling at them very angrily.

That was the last thing she heard before passing out. She doesn’t know what happened after Syth arrived. If they fought, talked it out, which is very unlikely, or even killed each other.
