It had been the next day after Brooke was kidnapped and Beau, Aurora, James and Amanda had gone out to lunch after visiting Alexis and Ryan.
“I just feel so bad for Ryan and Alexis.” Aurora said sitting down.
“Well shouldn’t we feel bad for them they lost their daughter.” Amanda said.
“Well I’m so sad because I just left the best girlfriend I ever had.” Beau shared with them.
“What?!?” James and Aurora yelled at the same time.
“Well a couple weeks ago she asked me to be her girlfriend and I said yes.”
“Um she’s my girlfriend dude.” James corrected him.
“Hey wait. She’s four and she’s your niece.” Amanda said pointing to Beau, “and I’m your girlfriend Jackass.”
“It was just a little joke that we had.”
“You guys have seriously got to stop going there. You’re brainwashing them.”
“Hey wait I know that we are supposed to feel sad right now but what is going on with you two? I thought you guys were over.” Aurora asked James and Amanda.
“Well we had dinner last night and he explained himself and I gave him a second chance so we got back together.”
“It’s not like we stopped loving each other.”
“It’s just that I was scared to commit but now we have a fresh start and we are going to try.”
“Oh that’s great.”
“So what’s up with you guys?”
“Nothing much.”
“How’s the living with each other thing working out?”
“Horrible.” Beau and Aurora sighed.
“What?”
“Well we didn’t think it was this hard. It takes some work.”
“Well duh it does.”
“Yeah we know so I think we’re going our separate ways.”
“No way you guys are so cute together.”
“But it hasn’t been working out. We’ve been lying to each other this whole time.”
“I think we did this moving in together thing to see if we could fix it but it only made matters worse.”
“Oh well I’m sorry.”
“We’re still friends.”
“Oh well that’s good.”
“Oh look at the time I have to go pack up and move.” Aurora said looking at her watch and getting up. Beau stayed at his chair as the sisters hugged each other goodbye. Alexis left the restaurant and met a handsome man outside in his nice Porsche.
“You’re not jealous about this?”
“No we talked about it and we both liked other people as more than a friend. I don’t think we were ever really girlfriend/boyfriend. More like friends with benefits but it wasn’t fun when you got the benefits. We’re better off as friends.”
“Okay.”
“Well there’s my date now. See you guys later.” Beau said getting up from his chair and walking over to a tall blonde.
“Wow they picked great rebounds.”
“Oh shut up and be nice.” Amanda laughed hitting James on the arm.
“Fine let’s go.”
