“Hey James can you baby-sit tonight?” Ryan said he talked into the phone.
“Um actually no I can’t I have plans tonight.”
“Finally my man has plans on a Friday night and when I need you.”
“I’m sorry something just came up.”
“Well then I’ll just call Amanda then.”
“Well she’s got plans too.”
“How do you know? I thought you guys were done.”
“Well we sort of and we have plans together tonight.”
“Oh are trying to win her back?”
“No because I haven’t lost her.”
“Well don’t be too cocky remember she broke up with you.”
“Doesn’t mean she doesn’t have feelings for me still.”
“Ok have fun.”
“Ok I will talk to you later.”
“Bye.”
Ryan pushed end on his cell phone and stared blankly for awhile.
“Earth to Ryan. Wake up.” Alexis said as she came into the room.”
“Did you know that James and Amanda have a date tonight?”
“Yeah Amanda said something about it. He wanted to have a second chance I guess.”
“You guess? You’re supposed to tell me these things.”
“Um no your best friend is. Mine told me so yours has to tell you. I don’t want to spread gossip unless he wants you to know.”
“But still?”
“But still what? I’m starting to think your daughter her attitude from you not me.”
“Whatever.” Ryan said standing up and leaning to one side with his hand on his hip.
“You’re such a dork.”
“That’s why you married me.”
“Yeah right it was for your money.” She said running out of the room.
“Well I should have had you sign a prenupt.” He said chasing after her up to their room.
“I’m just hoping you die so I can have it all.” She said running on one side of the bed away from Ryan.
“Oh really well maybe I’ll get to it first.” He screamed jumping the bed and grabbing her.
“Stop it that tickles.” She yelled when he started tickling her feet.
“Tell me that you love me and that’s why you married me.”
“I love you and that’s why I married you.” She squealed.
“Thank you.” He said. He stopped tickling her and got on her and started to kiss her. Things started to go farther when Brooke walked in.
“Dad get off mom she’s having a baby you’ll hurt it.”
Ryan jumped up quickly. He felt like he was caught by his parents with a girl in his room but it was just his daughter.
“What do you need Brooke?”
“Aunt Hailey is on the phone.”
“I’ll get it.” Ryan grabbed the phone from Brooke and left the room. “Hello Hailey.”
“Hey I need to talk to you about mom and dad’s anniversary party.”
“Well I was going to ask if you could baby-sit tonight.”
“Sure but where are you going?”
“I have a meeting and Alexis is going to dinner with some friends.”
“When do I need to be over?”
“7:00?”
“Ok see you then.”
“What about the party?”
“I’ll to talk to you later about it. It can wait.”
“Ok bye.”
“Bye”
