For the next few months Vanessa and Jacob had spent a lot of time together. They did go to church a couple times and Vanessa was showing some improvement in believing in god.
One day he was bored so he asked her if she wanted to do anything.
“You know what I would love that.”
“Okay I’ll come by around seven and we can do something.”
“What are going to do?”
“Something fun and surprising.”
“Okay tomorrow then.”
“Okay bye.” He said giving her a wave.
She was bummed that he only waved her good-bye. No hug? They were only friends so she guessed that maybe he was just shy but at least she got a date with him.
The next morning Vanessa only had one class so she would have time to get ready but before class she got a text from Jacob.
HEY CAN WE CHANGE THE TIME 2 4:00?
SURE Y?
OH THE THING I WANTED 2 DO IS GOING TO TAKE LONGER THAN I THOUGHT

Vanessa was excited that they were going to do something that took awhile that way she could spend more time with him.
After her class she went back to her room to get ready. She read a book while she waited for Jacob. She was so excited that she got ready too fast too early.
At 4 o’clock Jacob knocked on her door. When she opened it he stood there confident and ready to go. She was happy to see that a guy could be carefree instead of shy.
