“So where are we going to go?” Paolo asked.
“Let’s go bowling!” Bella yelled.
“Yeah that sounds like fun.” Carmen suggested.
“Okay then let’s do it.” Paolo said turning the car in the other direction.
“We should have a bet.”
“Like what?”
“Well maybe winner gets something?”
“What should the winner get?”
“Maybe a kiss?”
“EW!!!!!”
“What?”
“Kissing is gross!!”
“Well then we should do it then.” Paolo said laughing as Bella crossed her arms in the back.
Paolo turned into the parking lot and all of them walked towards the bowling alley. Bella ran in front of them and got inside before they did. Carmen and Paolo slowly walked to the door so they could have time alone before they were with Bella again. They held hands as they walked quietly then Paolo leaned in and kissed Carmen.
“What was that for?”
“Just in case.”
Carmen was going to ask but she decided to enjoy the moment. Paolo opened the door and led her inside and they paid for their bowling.
An hour later Bella was jumping up and down because she had beaten them both. Carmen and Paolo didn’t try very hard they just enjoyed the moment. They both got up and stood on either side of Bella, leaned down and each gave her a kiss on her cheek. “Nasty.” She said wiping her cheeks when they stopped. Carmen and Paolo laughed.
They left the bowling and got in the car and drove to Carmen's house. Carmen opened her door and they were all laughing but the mood changed when she saw her father sitting and waiting for her.
“Hi daddy.”
“Where have you been?”
“I just went out bowling with some friends.” Paolo put his head down kind of sad that she referred him as being a friend.
“No I mean why didn’t you come home last night?”
“I just fell asleep on Paolo’s couch and besides why do you care?”
“Because I’m your father and I do care.”
“Then why aren’t you ever home?”
“What’s all the noise?” a youngish looking blonde girl came out and stood in between Carmen and her father.
“Uh I’m just trying to figure out where Carmen was last night?”
“Which I’m trying to tell you? And who’s the new girl?”
“Um Carmen this is Jessica.”
“Hi I’ve heard a lot about you.” Jessica said holding out her hand to Carmen.
“I’m pretty sure it wasn’t much.”
“Carmen doesn’t be rude to our guest.”
“She’s not my guest she’s just another one of your playmates. She’ll be gone tomorrow.”
“Don’t you dare talk like that young lady?”
“Don’t you dare pretend that you can tell me what to do?”
“I’m your father I sure as hell can tell you what to do.”
“To be my father you have to be here at least two days in a row and show up by yourself not some new arm candy.” Carmen yelled running out of the door. Her dad started yelling at her but Jessica held him back. Paolo and Bella ran out after and got in the car as she did.
