Freedom? The cause of War.By: Esther .A. Lovato 1900-1917 The U.S becomes a world power, 1914-1918 World War I, 1939-1945 World War II, 1950-1953 The Korean War, 1965-1973 The Vietnam War, 1990-1991 Operation Desert Storm, 2003-? Operation Iraqi Freedom. And there were many more wars that are military has fought, before these years. These are the recent revelations of the Wars our military has fought, to give freedom not only to our homeland the U.S.A, but to any Country in need of defense, or that calls out for help! No one but God can count or name the millions of young men and women who have fought in the service for the freedom we all have today. For the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion, the freedom to buy and sell, the freedom to preach, teach, and speak out against what is wrong, the freedom to worship God, the freedom to print, buy, and sell a bible, and so much more freedom that every person in the U.S.A has. God has really blessed our President Bush, our military, and our country. God has blessed our country with millions of brave young men and women that have risked they’re lives for our freedom. I do not intend to disturb or infuriate anyone who believes otherwise, but I think we all really need to realize the large number of loyal citizens to the U.S.A that have fought, died, and are training to defend the people of the United Sates of America; against any person, terrorist, or anyone who would dare to come over the boundaries that our military has built against intruders that would have even the slightest idea to take the freedom we all share. The freedom we have is secure because our military has the courage to stand up and fight against the people who might intend or attempt to take it. Our military has not only fought for our freedom. But for many other countries so that they can have the freedom we have. In 1900 the U.S became a world power; At the dawn of the 20th century, America had emerged on the world scene. Her victory over Spain in the Spanish-American War of 1898 had shown the other world powers that the United States was a force to be reckoned with, especially in the Western Hemisphere. The victory had also provided an instant empire with possessions as far away as the Philippines. Along with this success and recognition. America soon found her military forces at locations throughout the Far East and Caribbean. This ended in 1917. During the midst of this war, World War I unveils and in 1914 the world was aflame with its first World War. The cause, making democracy safe for America. World War I ends in 1918. 1939 America is concerned about Britain standing alone against the Nazi aggression. America helps defeat Germany and Japan stands alone, defiant. And the first use of the Atomic Bomb, brings Japan to its knees. World War II ends and a new War begins; 1950 The Korean War. The world had emerged from World War II and America only wanting peace, demobilized rapidly. The United States possessed the Atomic Bomb, making war a thing of the past. That is, until the North Korean Army streamed across the border to conquer its neighbor to the south. America and the United Nations respond rapidly to this challenge but the lack of preparedness cost many lives. The situation was stabilized and following a brilliant offensive, the communist armies were thrown back, only to surge forward again with Chinese support (1953). 1965 the Vietnam War. The American army advisors became involved in the guerilla war, and the fall of the south to the north Vietnamese. This ended in 1973. In 1990, aggression a new name: Saddam Hussein. Operation Desert Shield is shown as coalition forces are built up to oppose further Iraqi moves into the Gulf region. With initial strikes against the Iraqi military and a final victory over Iraq in Operation Desert Storm. And now the war that started in 2003, Operation Iraqi Freedom our military went overseas not only to avenge the thousands of people that died in the twin towers, but to free the Iraqi people from the terrorist Bin Laden, and the murderer of many, Saddam Hussein. A large number of people here in the U.S.A were making protest against the president, against the military, and against the soldiers that are fighting so that they can have a opinion of the war. These people are the ungrateful crowd of America. They don’t even stop to think that maybe if they weren’t in the U.S they wouldn’t be able to even say anything against the president or the military. They don’t understand that the people (Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden) that they shield and defend, were to even able to take a small hold on the U.S, they would cause devastation. Some people aren’t thankful for the loyal citizens who fight for they’re freedom. All this and more are military has fought for us. And God has helped them to fight with courage to be bold and take the risk of dieing for us so that we can have the freedom we have today, to do everything we do freely. I just want to bring this before every person that we all have a great deal to be appreciative and thankful for. May God bless and help the president. God bless our military. And may God continue to bless the U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!
