Zoey was getting ready for the dance and thinking about what happened at school that day. Hope told Lily that she liked Jason. Then Hope told Sam. Then Lily said it really load and Mike heard, and then he told Jason. He didn't really say anything but Zoey wondered if he liked her.

When she got to the dance Jason and Nickole were the only ones from the eighth grade that were here.

A few minutes later the rest of the class showed up and the D.J. annonced that a slow song was comming up.

"You have to ask him." Hope shoved Zoey. "Come on."

"No." Zoey sat down.

"Come on." Hope got down on her knees and begged. "please please please."

"Fine but your coming with me." They made their way over to Jason.

"Hey Jason will you dance with Zoey?" Hope kept dragging zoey forward.

"No." he said and he ran off to the bethroom to hide. He did that the rest of the night, only coming out when he knew a non-slow song was on.
