We got back to the barn and we walked on each sides of her i was on the lefty he was on the righty. We walked through the barn doors and there was grandpa sitting on a barrel seat petting Lilly, His dog a Collie. "Hay Granpaw" i said walking over to him leaving Emma's side. I got down on mi knees beside him and gave him a hug. "Hay darlin. I saw yall out in the pasture" he said smiling. I looked over to Landon who was Closing the stall gate and looked over at me. My grandpaw was kinda cool but when it came to boy and me he usually freaked out. I looked back over to my grandpaw who was smiling maybe for the first time since ive arrived.





i couldnt say anything i was speechless. i was guessing he saw us kiss also. I looked up to Landon who was standing beside me. He was just as shocked as i was. Him and his [ i never say the right things] self said "Yeah....sir.....umm....it didnt mean anything I swear...." he said looking at my grandpaw. My grandpaw's smile fadded and my heart sunk. i shrunk down and sat on the ground. I slowly got up and walked out of the barn doors. I stopped at the barn doors and kicked at the henge. I sighed and began walking to the house. My granpaw and Landon watched me leave. My grandpaw got up and walked out the door and out to the fields.




Landon ran after me. "Whats up...?" he asked stopping infront of me. "nothing" i said quietly going around me. He turned around and stepped infront of me again. "Yes there is! I know you better then that" he said moving the hair out of my face and touching my face. I moved his hand away and wiped a single silent tear out of my eyes. "whats wrong?" he asked looking me straight in the eyes. "A pitty kiss?" i asked. "What?" he asked confused. "if you know me so well you should know what i mean. A pitty kiss is a kiss that dosnt mean anything. you said it didnt mean anything. tell the truth" i shouted. "i...uh.....of course it meant something.....I only said that because of what your grandpaw said before you came here ......and plus i only kiss the people i love..." he said and paused and looked back up at me.




I had a sly smile on my face. I couldnt believe what i was hearing. i repeated what he said... "You only kiss the people you love?" i asked. "Uh..yeah" he said smiling " didnt i just tell you that" he said laughing. " how long?" i asked as we started walking to his house. "since the summer you came here." he said sorta blushing.




My jaw dropped. We sat down on the front porch swing. "that long? i must have been clueless." i said. "Yeah...you were something else" he said laughing and i pushed him playfully. "Hay that hurt" he said making a sad face. "Im sorry" i said giving him a hug. "its okay, but that dosnt make up for it." he said giving a cheesy grin. i rolled my eyes and leaned up and kissed his lips. "okay, that works" he said laughing. i layed my head on his shoulder.





Just as i shut my eyes feeling the summer breeze i heard that preppy blonde voice from the plane, "aww how sweet." she said walking up on the porch. She had changed out of what she was wearing, She was wearing very short shorts that were showing everything, and a very slim tank top. I looked over to Landon who had a confused look on his face. "Hay your the girl from the plane" she said pointing to me. I had an obvious look on my face and said "Yeah so?" "So....I see you've met landon" she said with a preppy giggle. "Ive known Landon for 5 years" i said with a [why dont she leave] look on my face.




"Oh."She said with an O face on. "blonde moment" i mumbled, but Landon heard me and started chuckling. "whats so funny?" she asked. Landon looked at me and i looked to him. I started humminh annoying her question. "What is so funny?" she asked. "you" i said plainly and got back to my humming. "oh. Yeah i always knew i was funny. right when i popped out of my mumma" she said in an im perfect tone. "Ok i didnt want to know that." i said closing my ears and laying my head on Landon's shoulder and he layed his had on my head lightly.





"Ok well i never got your name, but who cares, well can you leave" she said in a snoby way. "Umm its Ashlynd the hell why?" i asked nicely. " you know why" she said giggling. "umm oh." i said winking. "No!" i exclaimed. Landon laughed i sure wasnt stupid but she sure was. " why the heck not?" she said. "i dont know" i said in a ditzy blonde way. "maybe because i dont want to, you cant make me, i dont take orders and the best reason of all............I Love Landon." i said and looked over to Landon who was stunned because that was the first time i told him i loved him.




Its not that i dont care about him, i just dont show my feelings that much. Sometimes I can be obvious about them or other things or very personal about things. I cry alot and thats the only way i show my feelings but i usually wait ti'll im by myself to sob. I havent sobbed in public since my 3rd summer here.




"How can you love a guy you only see in the summer?" she asked and she had a point. I looked to Landon and he looked at me "she has a point" i whispered. "i know" he whispered back. i looked back to her and stood up and walked up to her. "look i dont really care about that stuff, As long as were together we can do anything. Plus we dont need your dumb input in how we run things. And if you dont get the hell out of here Ima be kicking one slutty ass" i said in a polite way.
